About the Role
The Senior Data Analyst will work in Upstream Operations Team. This team, along with the Downstream Operations Team, are two components of Digital Operations Team, which ensures the end-to-end operational support for products that are delivered to Sustainalytics clients.
The Upstream Operations Team will be responsible for defining new operational processes and results expected from Digital Operations team in order to support new product launches or new releases of existing products.
The Upstream Operations Team will collaborate with internal clients to translate the business requirements in operational processes and will ensure that processes are documented, and the requirements and the timelines established for product launches or product enhance releases are communicated in due time to the Downstream Operations Team who will implement the process steps.
Work in collaboration with the Upstream Operations managers and business analysts of Upstream Operations team to perform any data analytics required by team’s stakeholders to make informed decisions regarding new product launches and existing products’ enhancements.
Perform data analytics and develop reports required by Upstream Team’s management to support measurement of Upstream teams’ specific KPIs
Build, test and deploy automation tools (e.g. SQL and Python scripts) for Downstream team, to automatically extract or change the data required in specific implementation phases
Change, test and deploy the new versions of existing tools owned by Upstream team, based on any new requirements received from stakeholders
Maintains close collaboration with the Downstream team to provide any required technical support for running the tools and provide in due time any bug fixes, to support products’ delivery calendars.
Collaborate closely with Upstream Operations Team’s managers, business analysts and software engineers, to support new development of automation tools required to improve the quality and efficiency of products’ operational processes
Very good knowledge and experience with SQL language and Python is a must
Experience in working with relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar) is a must
Experience with (or willing to learn) developing reports in PowerBI
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, combined with meticulousness and attention to details
Proficient business English oral and writing skills (the company’s working language is English)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of other MS Office tools (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Ability to work towards strict deadlines and high-quality standards;
Flexible mindset; adaptable to a constantly shifting work environment;
Nice to have
Master or bachelor’s degree in related discipline (Data science, ICT, Finance) would be a plus;
Great Sense of Humor would be an asset
