As a Startup program Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your skills in startup engagement, cross functional collaboration, program management in helping to grow one of the fastest growing businesses at Microsoft that is at the leading edge of the industry shift to cloud services.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping startups grow, deeply familiar with and invested in the startup communities in Romania, and interested in taking advantage of Microsoft’s resources to empower and grow a healthy, diverse and innovative startup ecosystem.

In this role you will be a key figure in the startup ecosystem and will be critical to fueling its growth. You’ll wear multiple hats the face and spokesperson of Microsoft to the local or even regional startup ecosystem, a mentor to startups in the program, and the voice of the scene within Microsoft.

A successful outcome in this role is a successful startup recruit program executed against our fiscal year engagement goals which are :

  • Engage and Win Top Startups per country
  • Partner with top ecosystem players to lock into the main startup centers and substantiate the Microsoft value proposition
  • Be where the startups and developers are to create impact and attract them with the Microsoft added value
  • Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage and recruit the highest quality startups into the Microsoft for Startups program, while spending time supporting these companies as they develop as true business partners of Microsoft;
  • Build and execute a complete startup engagement strategy for the country, in close partnership with Microsoft corp, sales and partner organizations
  • Invest in and grow strong partnerships with accelerators, investors, innovation hubs, community groups, academic and civic institutions, and more;
  • Be the face and voice of Microsoft for Startups, representing Microsoft to the startup ecosystem and community and building trust, credibility and excitement;
  • Advise and support startups, run education programs that will help to improve the broader startup ecosystem;
  • Amplify your voice through events, community participation and conference speaking engagements;
  • Provide feedback back into Microsoft on continually improving how we serve the startup ecosystem.
  • Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technology related sales or business development experience; cloud experience preferred
  • Entrepreneurship experience is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in program management, partner / customer recruitment, customer facing roles
  • Strong collaborative skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Out of the box problem solving skills
  • Bachelor degree of higher (Sales, Marketing, Business Operations, Engineering, Technology)
  • Excellent English and Romanian is a must
