About the Role
Software Engineer to join Exago team and provide support during the build and delivery of reporting and dashboards functionalities for different client facing platforms and research products.
Develop, test and maintain complex, highly stable and performant software solutions integrated with the existing products and AWS (EKS, S3, RDS and EC2);
Align software solution development with business requirements provided by cross-functional team of technical and non-technical stakeholders and subject matter experts ;
recommend parameters and collaboratively strategize to understand the desired outcomes and business needs to build scalable, intuitive, and flexible reports / dashboards with Exago BI (including Portfolio Analytics API, Exago’s Server and Action events);
Develop and offer support for Exago integration to different client facing platforms and internal tools using API calls;
Create technical specifications and diagrams for the implemented software solutions;
Contribute to building and maintaining the functionality of the data infrastructure;
Collaborates with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization (including strategy for long term architecture);
Works closely with a team of frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and analysts;
BS / MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field (advanced degree preferred);
3+ years of professional software development experience with .NET or other software frameworks, database domain models, n-layered design, OOP, design patterns, threading ;
application architecture is a plus
Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations;
Working knowledge of Linux command line and basic scripting;
Knowledge of data management fundamentals and data storage principles; preferable experience with SQL databases (PostreSQL, mySQL, MariaDB, MSSQL), cloud hosted solutions;
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills;
Experience with Agile Scrum;
Meticulousness and attentiveness to detail;
Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills;
Excellent English language skills;
