These include activities to adapt and harmonize hardware and software solutions and operating systems, for the existing application set, or designed for the actual or estimated needs of other Steelcase employees in order to meet the satisfaction of the users in a timely manner.
The Service Desk agent acts as a first point of contact for the Steelcase employees that require assistance related to the usage of IT equipment and software solutions.
Support requests can reach the agents by phone, email, Instant Messenger, etc. What you will be doing :
Allocate or update priority code in accordance with the agreed priority table.
Update incident / request in the Incident Management system providing details or progress to resolution. These incidents can be, but will not be limited to : software installations, software configuration, user account management in different systems, user guidance, etc.
Ensure users are updated through proper channels regarding evolution and closure of incidents / requests assigned to the Service Desk team / agent.
Investigate, diagnose and research the issues / requests coming from users and resolve where possible using the Knowledge Base available, online resources (user communities, forums etc), team members or coordination / escalation with other IT teams concerned.
Record incoming major incidents and escalate according to established procedures.
Ensure proper user operation and compliance with the Information Security Group policy.
Attend meetings and training sessions.
Have the ability to work independently or in a team setting when necessary to resolve particular problems that do not have any available internal documentation.
Be able to identify and report to the team missing / incomplete / obsolete documentation.
Keep the team updated on the technology changes they are made aware that might impact the team
Follow the directives provided by the operational manager that are related to the technical support role.
Who you are :
You have min. 1 year work experience in IT support positions
You have strong Windows OS and MS Office skills
You have customer-oriented skills (ability to listen), sense of service, good interpersonal skills with internal and external customers
You have analytical skills (ability to analyze and synthesize
You are team-player and you manage time and workload effectively
You have English + German - advanced level
IT / Technical University degree - would be a plus
