Vulnerability Management Engineer
The team member will provide technical support to the Adobe Vulnerability Assessment Program. Serve as an advanced technical expert for analyzing and identifying security vulnerabilities in web applications, operating systems, and networks.
These activities directly support the mission to improve the defense of Adobe networks by identifying, validating, and properly reporting vulnerabilities across the organization.
Job duties may include
Conduct network vulnerability assessment scanning across Adobe networks
Conduct regular network discovery / mapping
Conduct web application assessments for systems and applications.
Identifying vulnerabilities in open source application dependencies, providing analysis and risk assessments for vulnerabilities discovered
Developing vulnerability signatures for new and emerging threats
Provide monthly reports on the overall risk posture of Adobe networks from a security perspective. This report shall include risk assessments by project and / or development team and shall include trend analysis to identify the number of new vulnerabilities, remediation trends, and trends in the types of new and remediated vulnerabilities
Required Job Qualifications :
Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools and strong understanding and experience assessing vulnerabilities and identifying weaknesses in multiple operating systems, platforms, databases, servers, etc
Familiar with Windows and Linux operating systems
Experience with and understanding of database systems, web servers, application servers, firewalls, routers, load balancers, switches, etc
Understanding of Application Security and the OWASP top 10 principles
Understanding of the current threat and vulnerability landscape
Verbal communications skills and concise written communication skills
Organization and multi-tasking skills
Desired Qualifications :
Beginning to Proficient with penetration testing and web application assessment tools to discover security vulnerabilities
Demonstrated ability in testing proof of concept exploits to identify potential vulnerabilities
Demonstrated ability in developing signatures for vulnerability assessment or web application assessment tools
Proficient in scripting(any) : Python, Ruby, Pearl, PowerShell
Certifications (any) : CEH, GCIH, Security+, CCNA Cyber Ops, GWAPT, GPEN, OSCP, OSWE
