Reporting to National Operations Manager, The Demand & Supply Planning Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining the consensus 18 months rolling demand plan for finished goods and VISITS at multiple levels of aggregation, using statistical models within APO SNP, and utilizing insights from Sales, Marketing, and Finance.

He / she manages the flow of supply to secure 100% Stock availability and efficient inventory levels. The Demand & Supply Planning Manager ensures alignment with the company’s financial (Hyperion / BI) and sales (CPM) plans.

He / she works closely with his / her peers in Red Bull Romania to develop, implement and share best practices in alignment with PPL HQ.

Responsible for analyzing the historical sales data, trends, base growth, distribution, market share and create / analyze a statistical forecast, and determine the Operations Demand Plan in order to challenge / align with the Sales Demand Plan.

Collaborate with Sales to understand the past performance of sales, drive root cause analyses to understand the error in prior periods, and highlight inconsistencies at the latest.

Challenge the latest sales demand plan, to understand underlying assumptions and compare with the Operations Demand Plan.

In collaboration with Sales, Finance, and Operations, align on the consensus Demand Plan during the monthly Demand Planning Meeting and update / fill out / adjust the Demand Plan in the planning tools in accordance with the consensus.

Foster collaboration and chair meetings with key customers (s) and / or distribution partner(s) to maintain knowledge of customers practices and achieve consensus forecast.

Responsible for aligning / composing the Placement Forecast for Point-of-Sales items (Visibility materials), identifying risks and opportunities to the operating plan and financial framework.

Create a robust planning function to support continuous improvement for the Business.

Support the achievement and reporting of forecasting (accuracy) targets.

Provide insights to the OPS Manager to conduct fact-based portfolio management and to implement a yearly SKU portfolio review cycle

Collaborate with Finance & Sales to establish long-term SKU portfolio management based on complexity and costs matrix.


Responsible for supporting the Ops Manager in driving the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and defining the meetings(structure), deadlines for finished goods products, and VISIT / POS items according to the Global Guidelines.

Based upon the consensus Demand Plan, generate the monthly local Supply Plan as input for the Global S&OP Process by defining the location split of the Demand Plan, define target stock levels, consider restrictions, etc.

Implement the globally balanced S&OP in the local supply planning execution.

Provide the Operations Manager with a rolling forecast for 3PLs on inbound and outbound volumes.


Translate monthly (globally balanced) supply plan to weekly planning according to the guidelines, restrictions from Global Supply Chain Planning & Global Logistics HQ.

Lead solutions findings and execution of demand and supply imbalances.

Establish and manage inventory levels to ensure not out of stocks, inventory levels according to business plans, and ensure healthy product age according to the quality guidelines.

Alert the Operations Manager in case of risks in inventory management and provide plans to reduce risks.

Manage product transitions of new introductions (in&out or permanent SKU’s) and phasing out SKU’s for each business plan period.

Master data creation, for both finished goods and VISITs materials, for both procurement types : centrally sources SKU’s (MDG creation) and locally produced SKU’s (SAP creation).

Manage 3PL rework program together with Logistics manager to ensure 100% availability.

Provide to the Logistics Manager a rolling forecast for 3PLs on inbound, storage, and outbound volumes.

Maintain and ensure accuracy of Material Master Data and Purchase Price Variance; annually maintenance of SAP price calculation and stock revaluation.

Participate in the identification and assessment of the impact of changing the customer base.


Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role :

  • Demonstrated 5 plus years of experience working in areas of Demand & Supply Planning, Sales forecasting, and Marketing activities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of retail accounts operations, forecasting technology, systems, market research data, and supply chain management.
  • APICS certification is a plus.
  • Ability to develop relationships with other areas of the business particularly the Sales, Finance, and Marketing teams.
  • Proven ability to conduct complex, quantitative, and statistical analyses complemented with qualitative inputs from multiple sources to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
  • Strong leadership skills, can motivate and lead teams
  • Deep knowledge and experience in SAP ERP & Planning tools.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
  • A self-motivated team member who can drive resolution to issues with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including presenting and training.
  • Masters degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field.
  • Fluency in English
