Primary Purpose of the Role

The primary purpose of the Talent Acquisition Lead is to successfully drive the hiring strategy and the operational delivery of the optimal resources for Thales business growing needs.

The Talent Acquisition Lead will sit in the Romania Hub of the European Talent Acquisition Centre of Excellence (CoE), ensuring that Thales Romania and other countries managed by the Hub, have the right people, in the right place, at the right time to execute their strategy.

Currently working 90% remote, post-Covid the role will be primarily Bucharest based, with a balance of flexible / remote working options.

  • Key Responsibilities and Tasks :

  • Act as a trusted advisor, drive strong relationships with local / regional business leaders to anticipate demand, build hiring strategies and manage successful operational delivery for the organization;
  • Define the country TA strategy and framework in line with the business needs and Group TA strategy;
  • Strategize different creative ways to build talent pipelines and execute on tactical research, referral generation, events, sourcing campaigns, alternative search techniques;
  • Work in collaboration with Talent Communication / Communication / Business to ensure a world class Employee Value Proposition and Thales employer brand is developed and implemented;
  • Lead and manage the Talent Acquisition team in the country, focusing on their development, wellness and exceptional delivery standards;
  • Guide our hiring managers and interviewers to use best practices in hiring;
  • Share market analysis, provide insightful data and reporting to stakeholders as needed;
  • Partner with the other hubs of the European Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence as required and share best practices and innovative solutions which could benefit to all;
  • Work in a collaborative manner with the Global Resourcing Team;
  • Lead local implementation of Thales Group process improvement programmes as required;
  • Regularly review the efficiency / efficacy of recruitment processes, drive continuous improvement in key performance indicators (quality, speed, cost of hiring, # of hires);
  • Champion compliance with Group policies and procedures throughout the resourcing lifecycle, including ensuring comprehensive and accurate information is maintained in key systems () to consistent standards across the team;
  • Manage and liaise with external recruitment partners / vendors.
  • Competencies required for role

  • Effective stakeholder management skills, able to guide, influence and challenge as needed;
  • Proven talent acquisition experience within a multinational engineering software / technology organisation;
  • Familiar with managing and prioritizing a high level of roles across different businesses whilst keeping a cool head in times of pressure and / or ambiguity; resilient;
  • Experience of leading and coaching a Talent Acquisition team, driving best practices in recruitment and selection techniques;
  • Able to engage internally and externally in the market;
  • Strong ability to think innovatively and strategically to assess where and how improvements can be made.
