Cost on Track - Engineering Governance Specialist
Your Role :
The role Holder will be part of the Cost on Track Program efficiency. This role supports the performance of the Cost on Track Program by providing visibility on key topics through ad-hoc reporting preparation, data mining activities, reporting development;
by improving data availability and support of Engineering governance, by supporting CoT cross-functional ad-hoc initiatives.
Your Challenges :
Weekly governance drumbeat, continuous alignment & challenge of Engineering progress :
Enforcement of drumbeat through managing and leading weekly reviews and follow-ups on PDCAs (min. attendance of 10 weekly calls);
Challenge and review input from platforms and sites on Engineering progress and top actions;
Further alignments with Eng. management team (Platform / Site leads, ENG leads) to enable idea generation / pipeline follow-throughs, including cross fertilization.
Weekly reporting :
Ongoing preparation of weekly Eng. reports and briefing packs;
Continued tracking of cost reduction pipeline / progress towards targets (benchmarking of overall progress by Platform / Site);
Deep-dive analyses on ROP database (improvements, data accuracy : duplicates, past due benefit dates, source of saving etc).
Management of (and alignment with) Alstom resources :
Management of key tasks for Engineering reporting (data extractions, data analysis, etc.);
Continuous alignment with Eng. support on weekly reporting drumbeat, Cyient work packages, external / internal hiring status, Should Cost Status and follow through;
Continued coordination with CoT community / ETO ENG Leads on Cyient status to drive increased outsourcing of selected work packages;
Continued coordination with CoT community / ETO ENG Leads to speed up deployment of value / cost engineers in Platforms / Regions and increase use of should cost opportunities.
Kick-off of addl. reporting :
Set-up of Components reporting structure and weekly drumbeat (incl. weekly reviews, reporting template etc.).
Business Intelligence :
Conducting several analyses as needed- contribution from BB ECPO, Should Cost, Cyient per project / Platform;
Support of preparation of weekly / monthly CoT reports and briefing packs / program dashboards;
Support of preparation for top management reviews including L1 and L2 KPIs on Engineering and Design to Cost.
Perform other ad-hoc request (related to CoT Program) as assigned.
Bachelors or Masters degree and at least several years of experience supporting senior staff. engineering background is a plus;
Experience managing multiple assignments / projects and conflicting priorities with the pressure of short, demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
Ability to follow complex, multi-step procedures to complete tasks;
Maintain confidentiality as required and appropriate.
