We are looking for a driven, talented Engineering Manager passionate about people development to help us build our SaaS-based anti-money laundering solutions, which help organizations fight financial crime! We are building cutting edge solutions that help reveal the truth for a safer world and stop money ending up in the hands of terrorists.

You will join the Screening Application Team, being involved in scaling the team successfully and working closely with the Delivery Manager, the Architect, the Squad Leads and the Product team to maximize the short and long term impact of the team.

    The Role

    We are looking for an expert Engineering Manager to join our Screening Application team. You’ll get involved in scaling the team successfully and working closely with the Delivery Manager, the Architect, the Squad Leads and the Product team to maximize the short and long term impact of the team.

    You will be responsible for managing 4-6 cross-functional squads.

    You will work closely with Product to ensure that the right environment is created for the team to build and deliver quality software to fight financial crime for some of the biggest names in the business.

  • You will ensure that best practices are being adopted for quality delivery and operation of software.
  • You will be responsible for driving improvements of capabilities of squads and tribe as a whole.
  • You will be responsible for developing and supporting a world-class tech team, carrying out regular performance reviews, career growth plans, hiring great people into the team and overall ensuring satisfaction and happiness across the team
  • What does success look like after 3 months?
  • You will have worked with the team and Product to formulate a road-map to scale the product to the next level.
  • You will have led the team through a number of successful iterative release cycles, with the aim of moving towards a fully continuous delivery model
  • You will have hired and on-boarded great developers to scale the team.
  • The Requirements

    We’re looking for a smart and motivated individual that takes pride in their work and contributes to an informal working environment.

    You will be confident in your ability to deliver on the points covered above, taking into account the following :

  • You will have most likely have a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or other numerate field with around 8 years professional experience
  • You will have led at least 2 teams of 5 - 8 developers for at least 1 year.
  • You will have previously driven improvements in capabilities of the teams you've managed, ensuring technical quality remains top class
  • You will have showcased your ability to work closely with product managers, product owners and other engineering managers
