Hydrohex is a Turku-based start-up-company, that is offering virtual aqua fitness classes to swimming halls and spas. The trial version of the service was launched on the Finnish market at the end of 2018, and in the first year, Hydrohex was introduced in almost 50 sites in the country.
After the pandemic, our company has grown rapidly, and the first 25 sites abroad has launched the service (in Sweden, UK and Germany).
This proves that our concept also works well on a global scale. Our main goal is to reach the role of a global leader in this market.
Besides the Nordics and the German-speaking market, the operational target is, in the near future, to focus on the UK.
From the technological point of view, our business is all about centralized management of a widespread network of devices.
Our long-term mission is to build a world-leading media platform addressing the needs of commercial & municipal pool operators.
In parallel, we will create a possibility for millions of consumers to enjoy high-quality swimming & aquatic fitness workout programs no matter where they are.

Our Engineering Processes
We follow an agile engineering process, Scrum to be specific. We like to test our code often and we have CI and CD processes to make sure we are confident about the changes we make.
We have dailies, and weeklies to keep everyone in the loop and plan our sprints. We have retros to make our process better and learn from each other's experiences.
Our Hiring Process
You will be invited to an introductory interview if we feel you are a good fit.
Next is a series of tests lasting 35 minutes covering personality, attention to detail and an easy coding task. We also want to see your code, so you can share some code you are proud of.
We can also give you a task if you don't have any code to share. Then it's time for the tech interview with our CTO.
Next is the culture fit interview with CTO and CEO if you pass the tests and tech interview. This interview is more relaxed and about getting to know you and for you to get to know the company and see whether we are a fit.
Then if you are a match we will make you an offer. Once you accept our offer onboarding will begin.
