We have an opportunity for a Sr. Estimator within our Industrial Process Automation Business Unit, located in Bucharest - Roumania.
As a Senior Estimator you will make technical proposals and cost estimation of paper sheets manufacturing, interacting with Sales team, solutions, LOPs and project management team.
Study RFQ and other documents / drawings supplied by customer.
Work independently on the proposal and estimating for the specific project per global Estimating process, standard and tool.
Understand the scope of work to be delivered in the project.
A Proposal Plan should be prepared, as per the SOP’s, which should also include all resources, responsibilities, deliverables and dates, for all team members in GPS and Front Offices.
Review the Technical Queries generated by the team, Third Party Vendors and other Honeywell Business Units and send to customer.
For Honeywell hardware supply, use the relevant configuration tool to estimate cost and generate Bill of Material (BoM).
Identify 3rd party Packages / Equipment / Buyout items and engage Procurement to obtain sub-vendor Technical and Commercial offers.
Working with Procurement, Evaluate the Technical and Commercial Offers received from Third Party Vendors and Honeywell Business Units.
Lead the compilation of the Technical and Commercial proposal in required format.
Study of Technical and Commercial queries / clarifications received from customer and draft responses
Update / Revise the Technical and Commercial offer.
Prepare the Cost Estimates using the relevant tools as laid out in the Standard Operating Procedures. Including, costing the hardware and / or application engineering / software development efforts required in the job / T&L for resources / Staging Costs (e.
g. Floor space cost , Testing , FAT / IFAT) This also include estimation sourced from other BU’s i.e. HCP, Building Solutions, Operations, FI, etc.
Third Party package vendors
Compile the cost estimate for all the items.
Create and submit the e-GAP.
Full proposals and costing for the specified business solution(s).
Lead, expedite and coordinate responses from operations, contracts, procurement to complete tenders as required
Coordinate internal process such as R&O, eGAP submission for a given bid or proposal
Ensure all Honeywell proposals and sales project files are in accordance with Honeywell standards and processes.
Prepare the booking package as per the SOP’s when project is awarded and where required by Front Offices.
10% max travel
Bachelor or Master’s degree in the field of the job such as Industry Automation, Operational Techniques, Electronics Engineering or equivalent
5 8 years process automation and / or solutions experience.
The automation control working experience in Pulp and Paper industry is strongly preferred.
Microsoft office tools and other business level applications
Fluent in oral and written English.
Other European languages are beneficial
