In this role you perform analyses of relevant data, conduct market research, and prepare insights and recommendations to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions to develop and grow the business in the online channel.

You also provide input to E-Commerce strategy process for the business unit and act as speaking partner for stakeholders.

We are mainly searching for our office in Ismaning / Munich, but we are flexible in regards to other locations.

  • Drive E-Commerce ecosystem partner management, scouting of new agencies and suppliers, onboarding of new agencies and suppliers, conduct pilot tests for new services and strategic partnerships with suppliers and e-retailers across Europe.
  • Own and drive E-Com performance systems (Optimization of user interface and implementation of new features, integration of new data sources, training of local users, coordination of agencies and Essity internal stakeholders responsible of maintaining the tools) : E-net sales tracking, Digital shelf tracking (Online Retail Audit) and Customer data / Customer sell out tracking (Nielsen, Kantar, etc.)
  • Initiate and consolidate E-Commerce forecast & target setting process (short term and long term) in partnership with Regional E-Commerce Activation Managers.
  • Acts as interface to IT / GOPS partners connected to E-Commerce related initiatives in Analytics and other E-Commerce capabilities
  • Analyses transactional data and market research studies for the online channel (i.e. competitor, market, category, customer, consumer, and shopper) and delivers insights to different stakeholders inside Essity (e.
  • g. joint innovation process with global marketing)

  • Provide strategic input and contribute to develop E-Com strategy deployment, E-Commerce management reporting and 2025 E-Commerce capability development roadmap.
  • Coordinates dedicated E-Commerce business review sessions with key CG regions and follows regional action plans focused on driving E-Retail
  • Contributes to best practice sharing, respective networks and projects
  • Conducts trainings for team members, within the central and regional (E-Commerce) teams or customer teams
  • Relevant university degree, e.g. Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science / Engineering
  • Min 4-7 years of experience in analytics, with ideally 2 years in online / e-retailing analytics or at least experience gained in FMCG industry or retail
  • International experience is an advantage
  • Proven track record in achieving results in a matrix organization
  • Ability to translate insights into clear recommendation for internal stakeholders and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Knowing and able to apply current state of the art of systems and processes used in data management and analytics, and aware of trends
  • Knowledge of FMCG on / offline research / data tools is a clear advantage
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Fluent in English, any other European language is an advantage
  • Ability to travel 10-20%
  • Preferred technical experience :

  • Database design / management fundamentals. SQL knowledge (experience using SQL Server Management studio preferred)
  • Power BI knowledge, including DAX language, data transformation, data modelling and creation of measures.
  • Retail audit data fluency : Familiarity working with Nielsen / IRI, and the different retail audit data tools : SHARP, Nielsen Answers, Nielsen Nitro / Interface to office, RedSlim Sprint, IRI Advantage, etc.
  • Consumer Panel data knowledge (Kantar / GfK), and experience with consumer panel data tools (e.g. WPO, Essity Easy Panel)
  • Data Science (Statistics, Probability and Machine learning fundamentals knowledge), including Python and / or R language knowledge.
