Applies engineering principles to analysis for solution of technical issues related to mechanical design and manufacture of Honeywell products.
Looks for opportunities to reduce BOM and labor cost of existing products.
Participate in cost reduction ideas generation
Perform or support feasibility review of new ideas assigned
Applies state of the art knowledge design methods and practices to assure high quality, low cost solutions.
Deliver mechanical designs on time to project schedules that meet customer requirements
Collaborate with other engineering functions, product management, suppliers, plant personnel and other stakeholders to develop and implement low cost design solutions, methods, and product improvements.
Perform design analysis
Implement engineering changes
Manage and approve component specifications and engineering drawings and release parts and subsystems for production
Solve engineering related problems
Plan and implements product development and test programs
Communicate information to and from internal and external customers
Coordinate and consult with departments outside engineering
Test Plan preparation prepare the specific Test plan for the project to make sure the alternative component will satisfy all requirements and final product performance meets the specification
Total cost model preparation and approval collecting project data such as cost of engineering services, capital investment other services, project length, etc and define the Return on Investment
Component and Product level verification and pre compliance testing perform all required testing in the laboratory, complete test report, get approval from internal customer YOU MUST HAVE
Master’s / bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
3-5 years of experience in the component engineering, mechanical design or test engineering
essential deep knowledge of mechanical design and components, their parameters and characteristics material specs, GD&T, experience with conditional qualification testing, 3D modeling
Cad tools, UL / CSA / CE standards, statistical methods and tools, MS Office
Very good written and spoken English, very good communication and negotiation skills, work in the international team, ability to multitasking
