Hardware Design Engineer

Analog Devices is seeking a Hardware Engineer to join our Systems Development Group (SDG) supporting a broad range of industry leading high-performance linear solutions and standard products in end applications such as industrial automation, instrumentation, automotive, healthcare and communication systems.

The Hardware Engineer is responsible for the design of full signal chain solutions that solve challenging problems for our customers.

From sensor interface to software, these solutions can take the form of reference designs, evaluation platforms or product definitions as potential innovations are uncovered.

  • As part of a cross functional team, the Hardware Engineer performs definition, development, implementation and documentation of the reference designs, support the embedded FPGA / HDL design team in testing, bring-up and debug;
  • and provide technical support for our global customers for products such as high-speed amplifiers, precision amplifiers, and application specific standard products (ASSPs).

    Responsibilities include :

  • Design of solution platforms (hardware and software) for application investigations and product evaluation, demonstration systems and reference designs.
  • Development of technical collateral including application notes and technical articles.
  • Conducting technical training for field personnel and customers on product or application specific topics.
  • Guiding customers through system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Qualifications and Prerequisites :

  • BS or MS degree in electrical engineering with 0-3 years industry experience
  • Strong analog, linear and mixed-signal circuit fundamentals, with analysis and troubleshooting, is required
  • Prior experience developing either high-speed or precision analog / mixed-signal signal chain solutions is highly valued
  • Exposure to electronics measurement equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, multi-meters
  • Printed circuit board design experience and exposure to PCB design EDA tools is desirable
  • Proficiency with engineering analysis tools is beneficial including Spice, Cadence, Orcad, AutoCAD
  • Excellent written and verbal English communications skills is a must
  • Have the ability to work independently and in a team to develop innovative solutions
  • For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.
