As Service Manager On-site you will be our ambassador towards our service partner. The Global IT Support organization currently has roughly deskside (or on-site) support engineers and smart hands.
All of these engineers are contractors, with the majority being hired from one vendor. In the next 6 months we will initiate a transition from FTE based to managed service for these contractors, which will be the first challenge of this position.

In this position you will report directly to the Global IT Support manager. Your colleagues are regional IT managers, the executive support manager and the service manager off-site (Service Desk).
Your main contacts will be with the stakeholders at the service partner and the internal requesters of personnel.
As we are about to start a journey from an FTE-based model to a Managed Service model, the challenge will be to guide this process to a successful end.
The visibility of this position in NXP is limited, as you will mostly work with the service managers of the service partner and the local IT managers.
However, as project requirements increase, you will also be the main contact for Product Owners that require additional on-site personnel.
Although this role is part of the Global IT Support organization, it is but a one person branch of it. This requires the ideal candidate to manage their responsibilities without additional personnel.
The position has clear responsibilities, but it is up to the candidate to plan their daily activities, thus requiring a high level of autonomy.
