Security Engineer

Reports to : Lead Software Engineer

As part of our continued investment in our company culture, we’re looking for a Security Engineer to join our expanding, international and vibrant team.

You will play a core role in developing our platform with security as a first principle. This is a diverse position covering aspects of architectural design, code delivery, platform reliability, threat modeling, and feature development.

We're looking for people passionate about security who enjoy the rewards of personal impact, appreciate small & open teams, and share the excitement of building a growing company.

This is a Clojure backend role. However, prior experience with the language is not required - our team (one of the most experienced Clojure teams in the Nordics) is there to help and support you.

We've done it many times before : )

On a typical day, you will :

You will design, build, test, and deploy security features using a current CI / CD release cycle.

You will ensure site reliability, durability, and performance in the context of application security threats.

You will contribute to our architectural design, supporting a system that is secure by default.

You will collaborate with teams across engineering, DevOps, and operations to support our security function.

You will exchange knowledge and ideas with teams across the company to help us grow and improve.

We imagine you will bring :

background in computer science (B.S. degree) or experience in the industry.

2+ years experience in backend engineering, security engineering, or a related field

Experience using security and testing tools (SAST tooling, DAST tooling, and pen testing tools such as Burp Suite) helpful but not required.

Knowledge or interest in learning in our stack (Clojure & JVM, Kubernetes, TypeScript / React).

Knowledge of secure architecture design.

While these give an idea of the background we're looking for, none of them are hard requirements. We value experience but are excited by the opportunity to find new talent.
