The position will offer the challenge of evaluating open source components and software products using clearly defined processes to reduce potential risks to the customer.
You will use tools like Synopsis Blackduck or Scancode nexB to identify the OSS used to develop a software product, as well as identifying open source licenses texts and submitting the information to the legal department for review.
An internet research to document and correctly identify the origin of OSS used in a proprietary software product will be required.
