Capacity Planning Specialist

Role purpose :

  • The Capacity Planning Specialist works closely with the Service Manager and the Resource Manager and supports the functions of Vodafone Group and of its partners, to ensure that people and shared service resources are allocated to projects in an efficient manner.
  • The responsibility is to ensure that all JIRA opportunities and projects have properly allocated resources, that resource managers are trained and that they align with standards and policies, and that all ongoing work is accurately tracked and relevant reports are prepared.

    The Capacity Planning Specialist acts as a contact point for all questions regarding JIRA resources within Vodafone. Conducts regular quality audits on the resource planning of JIRA programs and assist project managers with personnel requests.

  • Provides reports to the management and other stakeholders on size, purpose, skills, use and other resource values and indicators.
  • Main Responsibilities :

  • Manages resource allocations in JIRA (or similar solution), resource forecasting and capacity management
  • Develops and establishes Capacity Pattern for forecast planning
  • Manages interaction with VF-IT-Linemanagers
  • Provides regular management reports on resource capacity
  • Provides training in resource management
  • Maintains data quality for resources to agreed standards
  • Find ways to simplify and automate resource management
  • Contributes with ideas for optimizing and improving processes, tools and services
  • Key competence, skills and experience :

  • Previous resource management, management reporting and general administration experience of 2-3 years
  • Experience in project management within the portfolio
  • Datamining, Dev-Skills (Excel-Macro, Power BI)
  • Ability to collaborate and influence in a matrixd organization, regardless of the levels of the functions of the interlocutors
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing business environment
  • Excellent communication and working skills with multinational internal groups
  • A proactive and motivated way of thinking to achieve exceptional results
  • Mandatory technical / professional competences :

  • Experience in project management within the portfolio
  • University degree in business economics, financial management, information management or similar
  • Excellent communication skills in English - written and spoken
  • Experience in telecommunications and / or experience in a similar fast pace industry
  • Experience in coordinating teams from different departments and locations
  • Recommended technical / professional competences :

  • Business Intelligence knowledge
  • Process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma)
  • Agile, PMI or PRINCE II knowledge or certification
  • eTOM, ITIL Foundation
