Position : Data Lab Engineer
Are you an engineer skilled in offering technical support for in-house data acquisition systems?
We need you to join our XPERI team to build innovative automotive In Cabin sensing solutions for the safety of the car drivers and passengers.
A Day in XPERI :
You will be responsible with our computer vision data acquisition systems, identifying the best strategy to create data acquisition setups, ensuring the most efficient data manipulation hardware and software infrastructure.
You will work with software engineers to design data acquisition software tools, with data technicians to produce & verify data, with external collaborators and suppliers.
Top level responsibilities :
Installation and calibration of data acquisition equipment in lab and in vehicles.
Acquire, install and maintain lab equipment used in data acquisition
Work in close collaboration with data stakeholders implied in data acquisition (SW team, acquisition technician, data manager, RD engineers).
Detailed Responsibilities :
Defining the data acquisition system physical architecture in the laboratory and vehicles
Ensure all logistics needed for data acquisition sessions (e.g. sensors, recording stations)
Test data acquisition sw tools according to acquisition requirements.
Ensure that all data acquisition systems are properly installed and calibrated before and during data acquisition sessions.
Collaborating and coordinating with multiple departments, stakeholders, partners, and external vendors.
Work with software engineers to provide feedback for designing the right tools and software assets.
Coordinate cross-teams training sessions for the most efficient use of data acquisition platforms tools and advocate data infrastructure tools improvement.
Manage external collaborators and suppliers in support of the execution of data production, annotation, or verification
Develop scripts for data manipulation and aggregation.
Continuously improve the effectiveness of the data acquisition systems.
Key Skills & Knowledge
Former experience in electronics training (AC / DC circuits, formulas, and components).
Ability to operate and use diagnostic scan tools, scopes, meters, and other test equipment.
Basic scripting skills (Python)
Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
Work in a team-based environment to achieve common goals
Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
High degree of organization, initiative, and personal accountability
Fluent English
Education and / or Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, or computer science
Is a plus if you have experience in scripting for data acquisition environments.
Proven track record of delivering data driven solutions with a customer-first mindset
Demonstrated experience applying data science methods to real-world data problems
Must have valid driver’s license.
