    Steelcase Cluj is looking for a Mock-Up & Specials Coordinator to join the Operations team.Our Mock-Up & Specials Team supports the Steelcase sales and dealers across EMEA, contributes to win rate, position products out of catalogue, creates value by fast response time and Mock-up deliveries on time, complete and perfect quality.


  • Act as main contact for Sales and dealers on Mock-up and customized products topics.
  • Analyse and qualify the mock-ups together with Sales and understand the context : customer, business potential, timeline, key success factors.
  • Conduct feedback reviews with Sales after mock-ups and assess performance.
  • You will be responsible for centralizing all requests for support on strategic Mock-ups coming from Sales.
  • Enter orders coming in from Sales, Dealers and Internal Business Partners for Mock-ups and First of Series.
  • Build the order overview for each Mock Up and initiates Alignment Calls with internal partners.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that the appropriate operational steps are taken to enable efficient and accurate order treatment, project support and you will maintain a close communication with internal partners (peers, plants, logistics, IT, R&D, etc.
  • in order to find the best solutions.

  • You'll support peers in the intermediate steps of the process (spec check, order check, order follow-up, coordinate deliveries & pre-fitting with SWS) and make sure that the mock-up is delivered complete, timely and defect-free to the customer.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining the Spark group up-to-date and publish news on a weekly basis (mock-up pictures, blogs etc.).
  • You will be the point of contact for requests on products from Steelcase partners that are not included in the standard catalogues.
  • Clarify the needs (style number, quantities, options, lead-times) of the customer in collaboration with the dealer or Sales.
  • Coordinate with internal Steelcase departments in identifying the best solutions and alternatives that would meet the clients’ criteria.
  • You will build a new EMEA style number using the specific tool ( CESAR ).
  • Maintain a close communication with internal partners (peers, procurement, product development, marketing) to find appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare the formal quote in SAP (product description and pricing) and related documents to aid the sales team and dealers.
  • Following up the codification until the product is ready for being entered in an order.
  • You will document performance and publish weekly metrics (win rate, process performance) and keep internal documentation up-to-date (follow-up list, visual management, meeting minutes, weekly reports).
  • You will review and analyzes together with management the dashboard indicators and reporting data to assess progress, comment trends, isolate issues and propose further solutions.
  • With a Lean mindset, actively participates in the continuous improvement process.

  • Project Management Establishes priorities and deadlines, acquires necessary resources, and leads all aspects of implementation;

  • Ability to keep tight deadlines, work under pressure and to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and independently
  • Strong aptitude and willingness to learn new technology tools and products
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Knowledge of lean principles

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the Customer Service Area / Project Management / or similar
  • English as language skills is mandatory, French and / or German language skills would be a strong plus
  • Working experience within or with an international team would represent a plus
  • SAP Knowledge, Outlook 365, Steelcase Product Portfolio and P-Con would represent also a big a plus
