Job Description :

  • Responsibilities
  • Support Finance Business Partners and business leaders in setting and implementing the Decision Support strategy for an area of the business
  • Build and maintain strong relationship with Business Partners to understand key drivers of the business and tailor support to meet business needs / goals
  • Prepare ad-hoc and custom financial analysis as requested providing insight into the Company’s operations and financial performance;
  • support ad-hoc reporting requirements

  • Drive the creation of models / financial analysis tools to perform analysis
  • Collaborate with the Centre of Excellence (CoE) Reporting team to create presentations that assist in understanding progress towards achieving performance targets and highlight key impacts (e.
  • g. business unit profitability, product productivity, value improvement)

  • Work closely with Finance Business Partners and other cross-functional CoE Finance teams to : Synthesise large quantities of data, identify trends and driversProvide dedicated support and insightful financial analysis to track business performance, facilitate decision making and drive the businessInput to and deliver plans, budgets, and forecastsLead discussion of the analysis and make necessary adjustmentsUtilise benchmarking data to recommend adjustments to KPIs / Metrics to improve performance management process
  • Lead a Decision Support team (i.e. staff, manage and motivate a team of direct reports) to drive performance, operational effectiveness and consistently high levels of service in accordance with the defined strategy
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the business and translate to respective team members
  • Coordinate escalation / identification of issues and advise Finance leadership of potential business and / or operational risks, while developing mitigating actions
  • Track performance metrics / SLAs across regional team and report into Head of FP&A CoE on periodic basis
  • Own updates to Standard Operating Procedures, policies, desktop manuals and lead process improvement initiatives within the CoE
  • Oversee goal setting, workload balancing, team building, professional development, and general operating parameters of your Decision Support team
  • Support the strategic direction defined by the Head of the CoE
  • Impact / Scope
  • Manage a Decision Support team within a new global FP&A CoE that supports regional and / or business unit performance, reporting directly into the Head of the FP&A CoE
  • Assist or lead ad-hoc projects, as required
  • Required Skills and Experience

  • Education and Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a Finance team, with strong background in Financial Planning & Analysis, and / or as a business partner
  • University degree / relevant certification (e.g. CPA, CIMA) preferred; an MBA would be an advantage
  • Experience in the technology industry and working in a large organisation is preferred
  • Experience of working for a US SOX-compliant company is preferred

  • Commercial mindset and experience driving improved financial understanding and performance in the business
  • Proficient in Finance / Financial Management, Analysis and Modeling within an ERP environment
  • Strong analytical skills including demonstrated ability to analyse, interpret and document trends and variances timely (on an ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis)
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with the analysis and reporting of financial and operational data
  • Experience with process improvement, project management, and leading a team through change, integration and business improvement
  • Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, and to lead discussions with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to meet the rigorous deadlines of a growth company, and to multitask and prioritise responsibilities
  • A strong customer service orientation and continuous improvement mindset
