General :

  • establish and maintain positive work relationships with peers, management, and customers, displaying willingness to understand diverse points of view;
  • produce clear, concise, accurate written communication, clearly conveying thoughts and ideas to peers, management, and customers;
  • learn and apply new equipment and tools within an acceptable timeframe; and assume ownership of assignments, completing commitments on time.
  • The L&K Specialist is responsible to work with all Service Lines within the IBM Client Innovation Center in order to cover the following areas :

  • Learning Consulting :
  • works with customers to define business and performance issues relating to professional and skills development needs.
  • make solid recommendations on how to develop a comprehensive training program to address a broad spectrum of training requirements and develop a plan for implementation.
  • performs a high level assessment a client's infrastructure to determine appropriate delivery methodologies, recommend the best use of technology, and apply creative design methodologies for the selected delivery environment.
  • develops a business case for the learning strategy implementation and can employ ROI tools.
  • Instructional Design and Content Development :
  • responsible for applying knowledge of current learning models;
  • determines the best instructional strategy using knowledge of adult learning theory to meet customer learning expectations;
  • gathers, reviews, and validates customer requirements; identify and understand client objectives and user requirements;
  • acquiring and understanding client source materials to enable organizing content into meaningful learning chunks; creating design documents as deliverables within the content development process
  • Deliverables might include blended learning materials, instructional guides, job aids, performance support, and technical documentation to support the delivery of classroom or virtual delivery environments
  • Learning Technology :
  • definition, implementation and support of the following : learning management systems; learning content management systems;
  • live virtual classroom; learning development tools; learning portals; and learning systems hosting.

  • Responsible of implementation of a technology-based Learning solution, developing and managing client relationships, applying specific industry knowledge where appropriate, understanding learning industry best practices, and applying appropriate IBM methods.
  • Learning Facilitation :
  • applies experience and knowledge of instructional delivery and facilitation principles to increase the knowledge and skills of clients.
  • responsible for a thorough understanding of the subject matter, attainment of instructional objectives, motivation of students and application of instruction skills in a classroom and / or virtual environment.

  • To understand and to apply learning performance technologies and training methodologies to gather requirements, evaluate options, design, develop, and / or deliver learning solutions.
  • To be able to travel to different IBM locations in order to gather the customers’ needs.
  • Communication / Negotiation :

  • To deliver virtual or face to face trainings to the customer (different IBM team);
  • To demonstrate ability to compare and articulate alternative options and approaches with minimal management guidance.
  • To negotiate effectively with extended team (vendors, subcontractors, business and alliance partners, customers and IBMers from other functional areas) to achieve specified objectives.
  • Problem / Solving :

  • To identify customer / project requirements;
  • To develop training solutions independently in order to meet customer / project objectives.
  • To apply judgment and creativity in resolving complex professional, technical or operational problems.
  • Contribution / Leadership :

  • To perform as a learning resource and to provide advice to customers, vendors, subcontractors, other IBM staff in own area of training specialization.
  • To participate in team and project planning to support department mission and objectives
  • Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology or related fields
  • minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role of managing / delivering trainings in / for multiple countries
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Awareness of instructional design principles and practices to include : adult learning theories, interactive training and learning design, e-
  • learning design principles, distance learning, instructor-led training, self-paced instruction, evaluation methods, etc.

  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines strong project management skills
  • Must be and proactive at solving problems along with being keen to continually adapt and learn new procedures and software programs.
  • Technical Skills :

  • strong skills / experience of working with MS Office Word / Power Point / Excel
  • Knowledge of different learning tools / methods
  • Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
