This is an incredible opportunity to drive the medical strategy in Oncology in Romania, by successfully identifying and implementing launch preparedness strategies in alignment with commercial strategies, going beyond the traditional business model solution.
As Medical Head Oncology, you are a visionary and innovative leader with a mission, determined, through external and internal collaboration and partnerships, to improve the practice of medicine and contribute to creating a best-in-class system of care for the benefit of greater patient outcomes.
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to :
Lead the local Oncology Medical Affairs teams, developing innovative strategies and direction with a focus on changing the model of care and access to medicine for patients.
Inspire and drive best-in-class launch preparedness and launch execution strategy, in partnership with commercial teams.
Champion close cross-functional collaboration with key internal stakeholders including Patient Access, GDO / Regulatory Affairs and Patient Safety to support patient access to Novartis medicines;
ensure cross-functional collaboration with Market Access and Commercial, in compliance with Novartis policies.
Plan, execute and interact with key external stakeholders, and represent Novartis at key external scientific, clinical and medical events to support evidence-based research in the relevant Therapeutic / Disease areas.
Ensure strategic and effective allocation and execution of clinical trials within the country including Real World Evidence and exploratory trials (where applicable) across therapeutic areas;
oversight of Managed Access Programs (MAPs), IITs etc.
Engage key stakeholders in scientific exchange to shape Healthcare policies and the environment. Role model ethical standards and contribute pro-actively to a credible image for Novartis in the country.
Medical Doctor (MD) preferred. PhD or Pharm D or other life science degree w / strong scientific background required.
Deep understanding of the Romanian healthcare landscape.
Superior interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Significant experience of risk management.
Deep understanding of drug development and approval processes, including experience designing and / or executing clinical studies.
Accomplished medical and cutting-edge scientific and clinical understanding, with very high level of learning agility.
Excellent understanding of local and regional regulatory standards and processes, as well as relevant (country-specific) ethical and legal guidelines.
Fluent in English (oral and written) is an asset.
