The Global Services business group deploys, supports and operates communication service providers’ (CSP) and enterprise networks.
This includes network infrastructure services and professional services for mobile networks and managed operations for fixed, mobile, IP and optical domains.
Nokia is also leading new growth areas including network cognitive services and analytics, public sector networks, energy and transport markets and our Worldwide IoT Network Grid (WING) which provides seamless connectivity across geographical borders and technologies.
Ensures availability and continuous improvement / quality of services by providing 2nd line operations and maintenance support for the Transport IP & Data groups’ services and the platforms / applications / solutions particular to the service.
Analyze and pro-active seeking for improvements of services, operations results and related KPI’S
Advices management on improvement proposals
Advices management on outages and project escalations.
Actively coach his system engineering team members and share his knowledge in order to grow the team and expertise within the team.
Secures sufficient level of testing in case of multiple platform / team / vendor related service introduction
Responsible for network / platform performance and related KPI’s
Providing risk assessments in case of technical complex issues. Providing transparency on risks and potential impact / consequences
Implement changes by administrate, analyze, plan, check, feedback (propose alternatives), test (rollback checks) and execute changes in line with change management process
Supports team manager on organizing and planning team and coordinates on task level
7x24 hour 2nd line support through on call
Reports / presents progress reports on above topics
Knowledge, Experience and Technical Skills
Bachelor or Master’s degree or equivalent level gained by experience, in Information Technology / Electronics / Telecommunications / Data communications Engineering
At least 5 years of experience in the field of Transport IP & Data support & maintenance
CCNP / JNCIP level or equivalent certification
Experience with ICT operations and maintenance support
Good understanding of mobile and ISP network architecture
Expert in several of the following technologies : Routers, switches and remote access servers, preferably Huawei, Juniper & Cisco
Network and routing protocols : EIGRP, OSPF, BGP , MPLS , MPLS-VPNs, QOS, Traffic Eng. etc.
Network security (IOS access lists, VPN Concentrators, Access Servers , PIX, IPS, CheckPoint FW-1, IP Sec etc.)
Network and performance monitoring.
In dept knowledge of protocols (HTTP(S), SOAP, IPSEC, DNS(SEC), Radius, Diameter, TCP / IP, MPLS, MSPTP
Fortinet & Huawei firewall knowledge is a plus
English language skills (good verbal and written)
Strong coaching and knowledge transfer skills
Flexible working hours (on call support and night work)
Discipline on process adherence, reporting and administration
Analytical and problem / incident resolution skills
