As EMEA Logistics Manager, you will be accountable tolead all logistics activities for Advanced Materials in the EMEA region, whichwill include oversight of all 3PL warehousing teams and providers in region toensure best in class performance.
Willdrive improvements, standardization and productivity for logistics / warehousingand transport aspects via defined metrics such as inbound / outbound logisticsperformance, cost, inventory, Inventory Record Accuracy (IRA), annual physicaland cyclical inventory, dangerous goods & general safety, compliance andon-time performance.
The Logistics Manager will drive and maintain a positiveteamwork culture and ensure the teams focus toward achieving all service goalsand metrics, both internal and external as well as supporting the enhancementand execution with key customer globally.
Key responsibilities :
Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, IT, SIOP, Finance, and Commercial teams to provide a transportation and distribution strategy that meets the needs of manufacturing and sales (customers) while sustaining performance, growth, and productivity in the business.
Create and maintain a positive culture with all reporting personnel
Identify and deliver improvement initiatives both systemic and physical
Define, develop, and deliver global standardization practices throughout the global network
Contribute to the development of STRAP and AOP targets for Logistics in conjunction with other business functions and the PMT / Corporate Logistics Groups.
Develop, maintain, and report on key metrics for monthly reporting around logistics spend and productivity metrics such as weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews.
Ensure optimization of SBU’s ongoing freight and distribution spend.
Promote improvement initiatives through innovation that drive competitive edge
Act as the primary functional Logistics SME to the SBU within region
Drive Logistics direction and support for transitions, SAP deployments, freight audit, carrier payment, cost adherence and other projects requiring Logistics input.
Accountable for carrier payments and freight / distribution invoice resolution for settlement
Provide functional leadership and support to develop and improve logistics capability throughout Distribution Centers
Initiate and drive productivity projects and track results.
Ensure relevant key site metrics are reported and productivity actions sustained through regular site reviews (MOS) .
Act as Key logistics escalation contact with carriers and 3PL service providers, ensuring all are performing to the SOW agreement.
Develop enhanced SOP’s through best in class global standards
Develop strong cross business relationships with other PMT SBU Logistics organizations
Ensure sites comply with all global Dangerous Goods training, container inspection, transport, and documentation regulations.
Ensure there is close connection / coordination with PMT Logistics and Corporate Logistics Leadership
You Must have :
10 years’ experience in Logistics
Extensive experience working in the ocean and trucking modes of transportation
Experience in warehousing and distribution
SAP experience at the detail level
