Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Signal Integrity Simulation support for Product Development Teams of local Automotive Business Units to guarantee Electromagnetic Compatibility conformance of product design and ensure successful Design and Product Validation.
Assist customer programs during all phases of Product Life Cycle (PLC) with EMC simulation i.e. during quotation, concept creation, schematic / circuitry development, PCB design, DV / PV and re-qualification testing.
Work out cost optimized solutions through simulation under consideration of IC / ASIC performance, circuitry and PCB design, technological and mechanical aspects.
Comprehend simulation needs and model EE&ME design and test environment.
Analyse results and ensure correlation with testing results.
Provide failure analysis support on component, module and vehicle level.
Negotiate EMC design solutions obtained by simulation and test with internal and external customers.
Ensure close interface to BU project teams and EMC lab.
A mentor will guide you to take over step by step your own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization.
Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering, or similar
Several years of experience in Design and Engineering
Basic knowledge and understanding of products of Continental Automotive group (Powertrain, Interior and Chassis Division), especially electrical engineering aspects.
Basic knowledge on EMC, especially in terms of circuitry and PCB design, EMC measurement technique (physical background and particularities of commonly used methods), PCB CAD and EMC simulation tools and implementation (e.g. CST).
Basic knowledge on functionality of systems implemented within the vehicle (e.g. engine controller, body and chassis controller, hybrid systems, etc.)
Basic knowledge on hardware / high speed design (digital technology, signal processing, switch mode power supplies, power electronics, data bus systems, signal integrity).
Good overall technical awareness due to multiple interfaces to other technical disciplines (mechanical design, manufacturing, quality, etc.
Cross discipline knowledge about electronic development processes and roles (EE, ME, Q, TPL, F, QL)
