Role and Responsibilities

The Yield Book is expanding its collateral team in Buffalo, NY, a team that develops and maintains a structured securities database, which includes modeling of Mortgage and Asset Backed securities, along with ongoing deal maintenance of those securities.

The successful candidate of this role will :

  • Collect data for European loan level, and other data as needed, from a variety of written and electronic sources, and maintain data using proprietary software tools;
  • Provide assistance to senior analysts in Mortgage-backed and Asset-backed securities cash flow modeling and analysis;
  • Communicate with Trustees, Clients and Traders;
  • Coordinate with outside Yield Book and Fixed Income staff.
  • Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree with concentrations in Management Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, and / or Data Analytics.
  • Technical backgrounds will also be strongly considered;
  • Proficient with mathematical concepts;
  • Detail-orientated, energetic, and exhibit a high degree of accuracy in their work;
  • Prior experience working with PC’s or Linux / Unix workstations is a plus, but not required;
  • Excel (including VBA) and other modeling tools;
  • Strong oral and written communications.
