ABOUT THE ROLE

PayU is looking for a Technical Pre Sales who will help solve Customer use cases using the PayU product suite. The Sales Engineer will facilitate discussions with customers and solution providers with regards to integration into the PayU Platform with merchants website as well as advise and inform customers and solution providers on the PayU products by having an in-depth understanding of the technical features.

The ideal candidate will gain a thorough understanding of the PayU products; provide continuous consulting throughout the integration project life cycle, starting with supporting pre-sales activities and extending until the successful launch of Customers or Solutions Provider onto PayU.

In addition, the candidate will also interface with internal technical and business teams around the globe and contribute to significant platform changes and improvements such as roll outs of new programs or scoping of new project initiatives as well as technically supporting merchants during the integration process

What you’ll be doing :

  • Support (new) merchants with their website integration into PayU platform
  • Act as an integrator between Client and our internal Commercial and our Engineering teams, to make sure Integration process happens to to the highest standards
  • Support the sales team in pre-sales activities by acting as a Technical consultant, including doing technical Solutions presentations and run technical workshops if needed
  • Support RFI / P activities if needed
  • Be the single point of contact for all technical matters for the Merchant or Solution Provider until post-live
  • Collaborate with rest of the global Sales Engineering team
  • Work on and implement processes, documentations, technical tools, as well as feedback to internal teams and improve the efficiencies to onboard Merchants faster
  • Feed product requirements back to internal PayU product teams
  • Track trends in the payment industry focusing on merchant payment acceptance
  • Provide efficient merchant support with ensuring responses and effective communication on short notice
  • What are we looking for :

  • Tertiary education in a technology related field
  • Product experience, Project management experience or Business Analyst experience required
  • Fintech or Payments industry experience
  • Basic Programming experience or technical understanding of system integration
  • Must be able to deal with ambiguity, multiple competing priorities and engagements running in parallel, in a fast paced / start up-like environment
  • Proven track record of involvement with delivery of projects
  • Must be a methodical, organized, flexible, self-starter with a positive can-do attitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, others are a bonus
  • Strong team player but being able to work independently
  • Must have strong accountability and take ownership of supporting merchants
