You will manage all local direct tax matters for Romania including direct tax compliance and local audit defense; local tax planning and transfer pricing;
and subject matter expertise for accounting for income tax matters.
How you will contribute
You will :
Manage and be responsible for the day-to-day direct tax matters for Romania including the preparation of direct tax returns, filings and related matters to ensure timeliness and accuracy in compliance with tax laws.
You will also manage communication on local tax audits and recommend changes to reserves for current and potential issues.
Ensure direct tax compliance requirements for Romania are timely and accurately met, and that tax policies are followed including compliance with internal standards on completion dates, record retention and workpaper support, and provide local tax expertise to the Tax Accounting team / external support.
Monitor local tax legislative events, tax audits, tax-planning and business initiative developments. You will provide management with ongoing income tax guidance and support.
Develop and continually improve standard direct tax compliance processes and ways of working.
Contribute to a high-performing Tax team for the country and region (Mondelēz International employees and actively manage the EY Program relationship).

All Direct Tax matters in Romania, i.e. managing workflows around Direct Tax compliance, lead general tax field audits, advising on local business and direct tax technical matters, advising Accounting & External Reporting on accounting for corporate income taxes.
Ensure Transfer-Pricing and MDR compliance.
What you need to know about this position :
Managing Direct Tax Compliance in Romania ;
Participate in and execute handling of Direct Tax audits and enquiries in Romania .
Be responsible for monitoring tax law changes and evaluating arising impacts on the Romanian and Bulgarian group entities;
Maintain and administer transfer-pricing compliance

Job specific requirements :
Strong knowledge of Romanian corporate tax law and regulations, including ability to translate it into practice
At least four years tax experience in public accounting firm (big 4 preferred) or large multinational company (required)
Academic degree or equivalent diploma in Accounting
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders of different seniority and from different business functions (required).
Basic SAP knowledge
Good communication skill (required)
Fluent English in speaking and in writing (required)

The responsibilities of this position are performed within the framework of a regional business model that is defined and managed by Mondelēz Europe GmbH, Switzerland.
No Relocation support available, however for candidates voluntarily moving internationally some minimal support is offered through our Volunteer International Transfer Policy
