As part of Continental's ID Interior Cameras Business Unit, we develop Interior Driver Assistance Systems, an emerging and innovative field in the automotive business.
Using the latest developments in sensor technology, our end products are looking inside the vehicle and make sense of its cabin.
Our algorithms can also trigger actions : making the driver aware of dangers, brake the car or steer it to avoid hazardous situations.
The algorithms that we develop help protect the lives of drivers, passengers.
By joining our team, you will contribute to the development of algorithms for Computer Vision and Image Processing. We make cars smarter and and we take care that the driver is attentive to drive.
You will be joining a team of worldwide experts in many cutting edge domains : image processing, sensor fusion, neural networks for artificial intelligence and assistance systems.
We are engineers, mathematicians and physicists. Our challenge is to create algorithms which are faster, more reliable, and able to run on high-end embedded systems.
Daily activities include :
Concept design and documentation;
Implementation in Python, C / C++,Matlab;
Simulation in dedicated environments.
Background in any of the following optional fields is a plus :
Image processing, data fusion, etc.
Machine learning, including deep learning neural networks, statistics;
Matlab, Octave, Python, R;
Academic research background.
University Degree (Computer Science / Mathematics or related field with research in Machine Learning).
Technical Skills :
Preliminary : good understanding of Mathematics, software design, programming techniques;
In depth knowledge and working experience on the various aspects of training and deployment of deep networks;
Develop new advanced technologies related to natural language processing, deep learning, bayesian reasoning, random forests, recommendation systems, learning for search, speech processing, learning from semistructured data, reinforcement or active learning, ML software systems;
Collaborate with other researchers, software and hardware engineers, and 3D artists to develop experiments and concepts that advance the entire project;
Understanding of one or more neural network frameworks, such as TensorFlow, Caffe, PyTorch, Theano, scikit-learn, etc.
Other necessary skills :
Planning and Organization;
Capability to take initiative;
Understanding of the customers and users needs and problems;
Capability to analyze technical problems and state of the art technologies;
Good language skills in English, German is a plus.
