Since Ashoka pioneered the field of social entrepreneurship during the 1980s, our team has continually redefined what it means to drive change and make an impact.

In Romania, we opened our office 3 years ago and selected 6 amazing Ashoka Fellows so far who are creating systemic changes in areas like health, investigative journalism, environmental conservation, civic participation and fighting against human trafficking.
Our main strategic lines are :
Establish a balance between social impact and profit by promoting new values and indicators in the checks and balances systems.
In an adequate social entrepreneurship environment, where more access to resources is granted and facilitated, individuals will be more incentivized to become social entrepreneurs.
Form Core Groups of Change collaborations to promote collective impact as a norm within the civil sector.
Create strategic and in-depth knowledge transfer programs to sustain the development of new solutions, projects and interventions in the civil sector and get involved in the process of systemically revolutionizing products, markets, and ultimately, systems.
Main responsibilities :
Develop and manage the corporate and high value donor strategies and portfolios
Develop and deliver Ashoka Romania’s corporate partnerships and high value donor strategies including developing new initiatives for building new relationships
Continually shape new plans for engaging corporate partners / high value donors
Create and develop new business opportunities for long-term, strategic, mutually beneficial corporate partnerships
Create and develop new relationships with major donors and trusts / foundations
Work with corporate partners, major donors and trusts to maximize funds raised and meaningful proposals for all parties involved
Work with other Ashoka Offices directly or through working groups to ensure we optimize collaborative working
Have a strong understanding of multi-stakeholders engagements : public institutions, private environment and civil society
Represent Ashoka Romania in Global and European teams on partnerships, fundraising and the like
Main requirements :
Motivated to contribute to social system change in Romania and globally
Have at least 5 years of experience in developing collaborative frameworks, partnerships between the NGO sector and the private environment
You practice agency and co-shape your role within the local and larger organization
Have fundraising track-record and budgeting experience
Excellent networking skills
