Candidates for this position should meet the following criteria :
University degree in mechanical, industrial or manufacturing engineering
Relevant work experience (min 5 years) in manufacturing processes and technology or tooling design. Basic knowledge of manufacturing concepts and operations
Strong computer literacy (spreadsheet skills with the ability to perform complex calculations and 3D modeling). Proficiency in CAD design.
Intermediate level in NX CAD modeling and drawing
Experience designing mechanical components and assemblies
Very good level of English skills both reading and writing
Strong problem solving skills
Innovative, results driven and team player
Reporting to European Global Tooling Design Engineering (GTDE) Manager, key duties will include :
Support development and maintenance of corporate process standards for the global manufacturing footprint, including process standards for in-process product design, tool design and gauge design.
Support initiatives to reduce new part introduction lead time / costs and drive standardization across manufacturing facilities.
Direct involvement in development of robust product transformation models, engineering automation and standards to ensure product characteristics at various phases of manufacture are predictable and repeatable.
Responsible for development and implementation of flexible tooling solutions and gauging processes.
Create and maintain in-process product drawings and tool / gauge mechanical drawings in support of new product introduction to manufacturing or product rationalization between manufacturing facilities.
Provide general troubleshooting support for manufacturing facilities
Support corporate tool design engineering automation efforts to streamline tool design tasks, by way of existing or new automation path.
