Introduction

Alstom in Romania has been present for Transport, Power and Grid for over 20 years employing today over 500 people. Transport sector, now Alstom, registered major success in infrastructure, signaling and also services.

The long term service agreement for the maintenance of the rolling stock of Metrorex is a major reference and shows the expertise of Alstom in this field.

Alstom will continue to grow his business in Romania proposing further services for the local market and export, creating regional hub in Services and Signaling.

We operate in the domain of Design and construction of safety critical transportation systems.

Very accurate verification (did we do the design correctly versus the internal process?), Validation (did we do a design meeting the customer requirements?

and integration ( is the system operating properly considering the nominal and possible degraded situations?) are mandatory as per the related Standards applicable.

The working environment is excellent in terms of possibility to learn how to master complex and modern technology in the domain of real-time embedded systems, communication technology, System and Software engineering, Advanced design and validation methodology.

It requires people motivated to learn, passionate to get results, ready to work as a team player and oriented to meet the customer expectation and satisfaction.

Overview :

The Requirements and Planning Engineer position, reporting direct to Engineering Director will as a responsibility have :

  • Manage the requirements of the program / project and its sub-items.
  • Identify inconsistencies between those requirements and the project's plans and work products.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive planning of activites.
  • Specific responsibilities of the role :

  • Elaborates the Requirements Management Plan or dedicated chapter of Engineering Management Plan from standard template.
  • Establish and Maintain a Requirements Management System.
  • Monitor and control the Requirements Management process.
  • Collects Requirements Management basic data and updates project Requirements Management indicators .
  • Provides status and issues related to Requirements Management activities and deliverables during project team meetings.
  • Analyzes Requirements Management process Quality audit reports, launches and monitor corrective Requirements Management actions
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive and logic linked scheduling for Projects / Programs incorporating : project / program activities (Engineering, Industrial, Installation, and Test & Commissioning), associated resources and skills needs, Products and Systems deliveries, gate reviews, sourcing deadlines.
  • Analyze schedule performance compared to the contract / program plan using critical path analysis method with a focus on early identification of risks and opportunities to facilitate proactive actions that will optimize on-time performance of internal and subcontracted stakeholders.
  • Qualifications & Experience
