The Opportunity

We are currently looking to appoint an experienced Office Manager / Secretary to come on-board and provide support to the General Manager of our Eastern Region Construction business.

Based out of our Alexandria office, you will have the opportunity to engage in a range of tasks crucial to the smooth operations of this part of the business.

Your meticulous nature, professionalism and highly organised operating ethos will see you successfully manage a range of competing demands and deliver high quality outcomes to agreed timeframes.

You will be accountable for

  • Responsibility for the day to day operation of our regional Head Office;
  • Troubleshoot / resolve office management issues as they arise no two days are the same!
  • Manage Office security and liaise with the building manager to resolve property related queries;
  • Overseeing and supporting reception;
  • Producing correspondence, memoranda, presentations and reports both of a general and commercially confidential nature on behalf of executive managers;
  • Organising business appointments and travel arrangements for Senior Management;
  • Screening telephone calls, fielding inquires and requests and escalating urgent matters to Senior Management's attention;
  • Managing Senior Manager's diary Communicating on the Senior Management's behalf with the organisation's Executives, Executives of external organisations, Board members, suppliers and clients;
  • Coordinating the organisation of executive level business functions, lunches and dinners, and;
  • Coordinating social / team functions / awards and events.
  • What you will need

    You will have at least 5 10 years’ experience in a corporate Office Manager / Secretaryposition. Construction, utilities or infrastructure services sector (industry experience is advantageous, but not essential).

    You will have the ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks in a busy, fast-paced corporate environment. You will thrive working under pressure managing multiple tasks simultaneously and enjoy providing necessary support to the GM and the team in a professional and engaging manner.

    Your high-level organisational, time management, interpersonal and communication skills will set you up for success.
