Position Summary

Manages the accounting and tax reports of all financial and tax transactions in accordance with local regulations and company requirements

Role and Responsibilities

  • Defines the personnel requirements of the PA, FA and GL, Treasury and Tax sections within the Accounting department and recommends additions or reductions to the CFO;
  • Establishes and monitors the performance of subordinate employees (AP, FA, GL, TR, TAX);
  • Train subordinate staff on GPPM processes;
  • Provides updating of internal GPPM procedures
  • Ensures the accuracy of the GCOA account plan and the accurate use of the accounts.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activity of the subordinate personnel, ensure support and assistance in their activity;
  • Ask for guidance from the hierarchical boss when necessary;
  • It is ensured that the accounting records are properly drawn up so as to comply with the Romanian legislation and the internal instructions;
  • Review the accuracy of the records within the month-end and submit for approval according to the Headquarters requests;
  • Revises the correctness of the preparation of the fiscal declarations;
  • Provides for the local management and authorities detailed reports regarding the accounting for a certain period of time in accordance with the internal requirements and the legal aspects;
  • Updates the plan of accounts according to the requirements of the Headquarters and the legal requirements;
  • Check and validate monthly the consistency of the local and global accounts plan;
  • Review monthly reconciliations of all balances in the balance, ensure that entry logs are posted correctly and inform management;
  • Periodically reviews the balance of payments and reports in detail to management at the end of the month;
  • Ensures that the authorized payments are correctly drawn up and correctly recorded in the accounting in accordance with the internal policy and local requirements,
  • Verifies and approves the accounting records posted in SAP in accordance with the Central Headquarters requirements;
  • Revises PA balances and reconciles remaining open amounts;
  • Ensures the implementation of the monthly accounting calendar;
  • Review at the end of the year the reconciliation of the physical inventory;
  • Revises the calculation of taxes and reports to the authorities according to local legislation;
  • Provides support for financial and internal audit
  • Tax :

    1. Tax report Report national tax (corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax, etc.) and local tax according to tax laws.

    2. Transfer pricing management Establish a global transfer pricing strategy for our company and manage transfer prices by concluding APA, etc.

    3. Tax examination Examine tax related issues home and abroad and establish a response measure.

    4. Responding to tax investigation and law revision Respond to a tax investigation when domestic and overseas investigations initiate.

    Reflect changes in our businesses when a tax law is revised.

    Skills and Qualifications

  • Experienced professional with full understanding on specialized areas; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analyzing data requires evaluating identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and receives general instructions on new assignments
  • Typically requires minimum 5 years' of related experience and a Bachelor's degree; ACCA and / or CFA is a plus
