About the team
Worldpay’s eComm Engineering branch specialises in delivering online payment services to our customers and are looking for Engineers to join our team and take our systems to the next level.
Operating within a collaborative SAFE environment, we strive to deliver effective solutions for our customers using our evolving payment platform.
We are looking for proactive team players, who would like to work in the Fintech sector, with likeminded individuals that want to develop robust and scalable applications for the growing market.
What you will be doing
Conduct functional and non-functional tests on the WorldPay Payments platform
Working to deliver products / change requests of the highest quality
Proactively identifying improvements and enhancements on the platform
Ensure efficient and effective testing of Worldpay products using appropriate strategies and techniques
Work alongside the Automation Testers to progress automation backlog items
Create automated tests to enhance the existing test suite using Selenium
Convert existing manual test scripts / cases to executable automated tests
Support and maintain test automation framework with respect to implementation of new features, existing features or bug fixes
Plan and execute automation tests on a continual basis
Plan own workload and scope / requirements
Analyze functional and technical specifications and user stories to derive and agree test cases and scenarios
Diligently follow test plans and investigate issues encountered
Identify issues and risks relating to workload, escalate these appropriately and provide suggested mitigating actions
Prepare input test data and expected results
Review own test conditions, test scripts / user stories, input test data, and expected results for all test phases
Effectively prepare regression, ad hoc and re-tests as required
Execute tests thoroughly to ensure software quality including running automated tests
Identify faults / defects
Work with the project teams to resolve any issues in a timely manner
Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives and enhancements to current procedures including recommending quality improvements
Keep the team and relevant stakeholders informed of progress and any challenges
For Agile deliveries, contribute to daily scrums, sprint reviews and retrospectives
Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives and enhancements to current procedures including recommending quality improvements by liaising with System Architects to assist in commissioning effective scalable solutions for the platform
What you bring
A minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Automation tester
Knowledge of various different types of applications and coding languages
Experience of test automation using Selenium Web Driver
Solid, hands-on testing background, with in depth knowledge of software automation techniques
Excellent knowledge of software testing procedures and be skilled in test planning, test estimation, prioritisation and risk-based testing
Sound experience of working with the Agile methodology
In depth understanding and use of Agile testing methods Behavioural Driven Development and Test Driven Development
Reviewing existing procedures and systems looking for improvements
Proven significant ability to develop in a .net framework
Ability to develop and code in C#
The ability to write and implement automation scripts (Selenium)
Exposure to testing APIs / understanding of RESTful services
Microsoft SQL server, T-SQL
