How could you help us do this?

We need a Payroll Specialist who will join our Bucharest team and who will review and support service delivery and operations of transactional payroll processes across several countries in EMEA.

The new colleague will also be responsible with the timely processing of monthly payroll and maintaining accurate payroll records and employee files, including manual check log and reconciliation of payroll account.

What kind of work would you be doing?

  • Review all payroll payments for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment;
  • Review processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances;
  • Responsible for investigating and resolving payroll issues with vendor and for field offices;
  • Collaborate with internal groups such as HR to resolve payment related issues;
  • Turnaround of all customer and employee queries and issues with a focus on customer service (including escalation management, if required);
  • Support and coordinate the audit process (Internal Audits, SOX Audit, Local Statutory Audit, External (Process & Systems) : coordination of documentation support and providing necessary explanations;
  • Correct and calculate the salaries in terms of legal requirements, employment contract agreements and employer's agreements;
  • Maintain and perform payroll / time tracking transactions accordingly to specific regulations of each country;
  • Ensuring post payroll activities (payments file to bank, print & distribute pay slips, etc.);
  • Offer an active support and meeting deadlines in answering all payroll / time tracking issues and queries raised by the employees, their managers or any other parties (email or other CRC tools);
  • Prepare prompt and correct statements required in the process according to employees' orders (terminations, certificates, sickness certificates, health insurance certificates);
  • Prepare timely monthly / yearly / quarterly declarations according to the local legal requirements;

    What achievements should you have so far?

  • Certifications in Payroll (FPC) will be an added advantage;
  • Previous experience in the HR or Finance functions (Payroll Related) or specifically within payroll;
  • Direct relevant experience of working in a Captive SSC / Business Process Outsourcing Organizations will be desired (in addition to years of experience / qualification.

    Exposure to a tech company would be great, but we are flexible on this!

    In order to be able to build meaningful relationships with all of your colleagues in this region, we do need a fluent English speaker with.

  • Any other languages would be a huge plus for this role;
  • If you also have a degree in a relevant subject (economic, finance, business operations), great!
