Our customer is looking for an Operations Manager with at least 5 years of experience in multinational companies.

Reporting to the Country Manager Romania, the Operations Manager will be responsible for the processes efficiency and effectiveness of all the Operation team (also by increasing the ability of periodization and the delegation level within his team, empowering people), for the increasing of customers’ expectation and satisfaction, in full compliance with ethical standards and procedures.

He / she will coordinate the activities of 3 Regional Operations Managers located in 3 different sites in the country, and the Logistic Department as well.

Main tasks and responsibilities :

  • Organizes the operational activities creating an organizational structure, job descriptions, internal directives.
  • Management, inspection, rationalization and, if necessary, reorganization of logistics activities (regrouping of equipment, optimization of space use, etc.) at national level.
  • Manages and supervises the operations regarding the landfill and the waste treatment.
  • Harmonizes the operational instructions regarding the landfill, taking into account the local particularities, supervises and inspects the making of the necessary amendments.
  • Manages the local activities within the Group as well as the activities for supporting the central positions.
  • Assigns tasks to the Regional Operational Managers and the work coordinators.
  • Continuously inspects the activities and achievement of objectives.
  • Continuous monitoring and analysis of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ensures that the operational activities are in compliance with the laws and regulations in force, maintains links with the relevant authorities.
  • Continuous monitoring regarding the new technological methods for waste management, presents proposals to the Country Manager for their implementation.
  • Ensures high quality standards in the Operational Department, through a continuous personal supervision.
  • Visits certain important clients (providing them with satisfactory, high quality services).
  • Organizes and controls an adequate flow of information within the Operational Department, as well as regarding the Country Manager and the Group.
  • Ensures an appropriate exchange of information between the Operational, Sales and Financial departments.
  • Organizes and performs central acquisitions according to internal regulations.
  • Supervises the approval of the directives by the Group and by the local companies.
  • Ensures a high productivity in terms of all operations.
  • Monitors and observes the investment budget.
  • Leads and manages projects to increase productivity.
  • Cooperates with the Sales Manager to win new customers, coordinates customer services, ensures high quality customer services.
  • Planning the expenditure elements from the budget and the investments in the Operational Department
  • Adherence to material, proportional and personnel expenses.
  • Prepares contracts to ensure operational and service activities.
  • Performs monthly reports and monitors his cost
  • Controls inventory protocols, individual operations.
  • Elaborates a budget by chapters related to the activities of the Operational Department, monthly verification of cost efficiency and takes the necessary measures in this regard.
  • Methodically manages and leads the Regional Operational Managers in all their operational activities.
  • Methodically controls and leads all Regional Operational Managers in their administration activities for reporting inputs.
  • Organizes the expansion of the landfill, evaluates the offers, approves contracts, supervises from a financial and technical point of view the execution of the constructions on time.
  • Ensure that internal operational procedures comply with the policy and procedures of the FCC Group as well as applicable local laws and regulations (for example : waste centralization).
  • Signs contracts on behalf of the Operational Department.
  • Empowers with full powers the Regional Operational Managers in certain situations.
  • Decides on the use of the equipment and on its renewal.
  • Authority over the personnel regarding the Operational Department, represents the interests of the Group in the relations with third parties.
  • Requirements and qualifications :

  • Degree in Engineering (preferably production, logistic or management engineering)
  • At least 5 years of experience in multinational companies.
  • Relevant management experience with Production , Logistic / Supply Chain , Service departments ( Production Manager , Operation Manager , Supply Chain Manager , Service Manager ), whiting industrial (i.
  • e. Automotive) or Logistic sectors .

  • The position is located in Arad. Travel will be required (about 20% of the working time) in all the Romanian territory as well as to the group Headquarters.
