The role

IWG is looking for an application strategist for the enterprise who proactively leads application strategy

using architectural design skills, cross-domain knowledge, systems thinking and enterprise-wide strategic

Big Picture thinking. This would be a key role within the Transformation team and would be

responsible for establishing core components of IWG s global transformation roadmap with focus on IT


We require someone who not only has a deep understanding of business strategy, capabilities, and

processes, but also hasthe experience to analyze and build upon enterprise's technical and infrastructural

architecture. The strategist provides the necessary leadership, analysis, and road-mapping to support

IWG s application landscape, ensuring that applications meet future business needs and align with

architectural governance and standards. This role will create deliverables for managing the organization's

Responsibilities :

  • Acts as an internal consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings
  • to drive targeted business outcomes.

  • Takes ownership of the IWG global application landscape, building and maintaining benchmarks,
  • metrics, standards definitions, and reference modelsto ensure the landscape adheres to the

    transformational needs of the organization.

  • Translates business strategy into an architectural blueprint to achieve the business objectives
  • and documents application architecture design and analysis work

  • Leads the evaluation and analysis of changes to the application portfolio across the group,
  • conducting appraisal, selection and testing of new applications.

  • Analyses the existing application portfolio to detect critical deficiencies, legacy and technical
  • debt, and maintains a roadmap for transformation demands

  • Builds, deploys and maintains a generic industry standard cost model for the IT application
  • estate.

  • Provides consulting support to system architects and analysts within agile teams to ensure the
  • project or product is aligned with the overall enterprise application strategy.

  • Develop personal knowledge and share insights with team members
  • Main requirements

    BSc (Engineering, Computer Science or related) required, MSc or above preferred.

  • Demonstrable relevant industry experience working in development and integration of largescale solutions involving multiple technologies, functions and interfaces across in-house and
  • vendor-supplied systems.

  • Deep practical knowledge of software engineering, applications and IT Infrastructure
  • Good understanding of strategic and new and emerging technology trends, and the practical
  • application of existing, new and emerging technologies to new and evolving busine ss and

    operating models

  • Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies and roadmaps
  • Experience delivering presentations to senior-level executives and technical audiences
  • Enterprise software systems selection and implementation experience
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of programming and data analysis
  • A good understanding of business processes
  • Knowledge of Azure and the Microsoft development stack is preferred
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office and Dynamics 365 platform is preferred
  • Cloud related infrastructure and applications experience
  • Web, mobile and e-commerce applications experience
  • Organized, creative and analytical mind-set.
  • Good negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Exposure and working level knowledge of working with and interfacing to global delivery teams
  • Excellent English communication and executive level presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly
  • Good commercial understanding and awareness
