This role is about ensuring partner reported or HPE insourced sales out and inventory data quality meets the high level standards to be consumed downstream by business users such as Sales Comp, Partner Comp, BU Strategy & Planning, etc.

It is a capabilities expert that can provide guidance to data consumers and addressed issues as they arise to ensure these are timely and accurately resolved.

Develops, implements and utilizes processes and tools to enable the sales, sales out and inventory data collections . Reports and analyzes sales out and inventory.

Maintains and enhances automation systems, product / service costing models, and margin management tools / systems to effectively monitor and manage revenue / expenses.

The role supports Channel Data quality validation and automation . These quality checks are applicable to data collection for 500+ partners globally.

The information reported by the partners is required to pay financial claims and partner benefits, in addition to supporting Sales Comp, BU reporting, etc.

Thus the importance of the data quality function.

  • Designs and implements processes and tools to provide sales out and inventory data collection, analytics and metrics, and operations support for a customer segment or business unit
  • Consults with business leaders to identify relevant analytics, metrics and outcomes for the assigned area
  • Develops sales operations framework, including forecasts and budgets, to meet resource and sales client needs
  • Reviews evaluation results to identify trends and issues, perform analysis and develop forecasts and recommendations for sales resource deployment and improved efficiency
  • Communicates data and issue analysis to stakeholders
  • Provides tangible feedback and proposes changes to sales processes and policies to improve efficiency and minimize risk of failures
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Systems analyst or equivalent
  • Typically 4-6 years experience
  • Experience designing and implementing policies, processes, and tools to provide operations support for sales activities
  • Strong analytical, statistics and problem solving skills
  • Understanding of and experience in applying business and sales operations practices and process design to situations
  • Using forecasting and planning methodologies to develop guidance for deploying sales and operational resources and activities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Mastery in English and local language
  • Excel (big data bases), SQL desirable
  • Ability to effectively communicate sales operations plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels
