Fortech is looking to add a valuable function to its organizational structure by evolving the Operations department. We are looking for a Project Controller in the Operations team structure and part of a centralized project support function (Project Management Office), that will provide projects related data reporting support, with a focus on existing processes and new initiatives across the organization.
This involves working in partnership with internal stakeholders (C-Level, Senior Managers, Project Managers and functional areas, especially with the Project Management Office) : 1.
2. to execute and improve the internal effort reporting process within the organization and 3. to provide administrative support to the Operations department to effectively plan and manage their activity.
provide training programs for colleagues using the toolSupport the current project financial processes and, based on gap analysis, propose and implement new processes and proceduresAnalyze and report data that can be used to develop an accurate projection of projects financials that will be used as a recommendation / instilled as a process to make decisions about project opportunity, management, quality, budget, timing and controlsMaintain, operate and improve a controlling system for projects financials in the delivery model, including project KPIsDefine and maintain projects dashboardsEnsure project financial processes are being followed, by performing regular assessments of submitted projects data and follow-up Internal Effort Reporting : Perform queries of internal systems, dataset analysis and generate internal effort reportsEvolve the current reporting data set to commercial projects effort dataEnsure the internal booking model is being followed by performing regular assessments of timesheets through Jira exports and regular assessments of the organizational internal tasks’ accuracyDefine and maintain overall company effort dashboardsWork with project managers and senior managers to ensure that our internal projects data management tool is maintained updated and contains accurate and relevant dataSupport the maintenance and propose enhancements related to the internal projects data management tool functionalities and usage PMO & Internal Projects Program Support : Understand the framework under which we manage the internal tools’ development and maintenance and provide administrative supportSupport PMO’s initiatives implementation and participate actively in PMO’s processes execution, as neededSupport the PMO team in project financial management and divisional reporting Operations Department Administrative Support : Offer administrative support on internal meetings management (setup, changes, meeting notes), department spaces across all internal tool suite (structure, permissions, content)Participate actively in the execution of the department’s initiativesIntegrate information from the Operations department’s teams in order to facilitate easy access, sharing and dissemination of information with team membersCultivate and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including project managers, department managers, and unit managers
Must Have : Business and financial knowledge is essentialProficiency in MS Office, in particular Excel (pivots, macros etc.
