SUMMARY OF ROLE
Provide leadership in testing, quality and continuous improvement to the Measurement Solutions Systems (MSS) Europe organisation ensuring the highest standards are maintained in executing and delivering systems.
Provide support to both internal and external customers.
PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Select, train, manage and mentor the testing and quality teams members
Develop competency and synergies for in testing and quality among the 4 segments of the MSS business.
Ensure that every systems delivered is inpected, tested according to MSS process to meet highest quality standard.
Ensure all systems and engineered components are inspected, tested and punches closed prior to shipment to customers
Responsible for the quality of the delivered solutions, owning and closing customer complaints / punches and ensuring preventative action is implemented.
Liaise with Project Managers and Fabrication Lead to forecast the workload and testing schedule to meet the committed delivery date
Liaise and provide project support in coordinating surveillance / inspection / expediting visits and goods receiving inspection.
Visit and qualify fabricators to integrate systems outside of Cluj when needed
Ensure that Quality certificates are and remain up to date for integration activities
Ensure customers and all relevant parties take part in inspections identified in the Inspection and Testing Plan in line with project schedule.
Perform and support audits when required.
Proactively track and report the quality KPIs and drive improvements.
Perform PEP reviews for all team members reporting to you.
Review and approve timesheets as per MSS policy for direct reports.
Actively participate in the Global Quality meetings to support Global initiatives.
Actively participate to the MSS Europe Management Team
Liaise with MSS teams to create and track status of Non Conformity Reports until closure.
Liase with Trade Offices to ensure that measurements Solutions Systems built outside of hubs are inspected and tested according to ITP then punches closed prior to delivery to customers
Participate in internal and external audits.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Degree in a quality or engineering related discipline or equivalent.
Experience in a project business envirnonment
Experience of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, CIP etc.
Relevant experience and competencies in Quality (5-7 years)
Good communications skills.
Ability to travel occasionally
