Andersen is a pre-IPO software development company providing a full cycle of services. For over 14 years, we have been helping enterprises and middle-sized firms worldwide transform their businesses by creating effective digital solutions using innovative technologies.

The international IT outsourcing company Andersen is looking for a Ruby Developer to work on a large-scale project for one of our Luxembourg customers.

The project is the development of a platform that brings together investors and entrepreneurs of eCommerce and other online businesses, making a comprehensive analysis of companies’ investment attractiveness.

You have :

  • Experience in Ruby and Ruby on Rails development for 5+ years;
  • Degree in computer science;
  • Knowledge and understanding of OOP principles;
  • Knowledge of and experience with Git / GitHub / Gitflow;
  • Good understanding of REST APIs;
  • Familiarity with other Ruby web frameworks like Sinatra, Ruby Grape, etc.;
  • Experience with the AWS cloud infrastructure (Amazon ECS, Amazon EC2, AWS Lambda, AWS Secrets Manager, etc.)
  • Experience with object-oriented databases;
  • Experience with scalable applications;
  • Understanding of the service-oriented architecture approach and microservices;
  • DevOps (an understanding of production deployment, continuous integration, etc.);
  • Experience in creating APIs (for SPAs, mobile, and other servers);
  • Practical and security-oriented approach;
  • English Intermediate.
  • Nice to have :

  • Experience with other Back-end languages and frameworks, such as Python, JavaScript, Node.js, etc.;
  • Ability to write concise and effective tests;
  • Open Source involvement;
  • Education and experience in Finance (there are specifics, as simple as currency formatting, and as complex as handling financial and accounting data).
  • The recruitment process looks like :
