Habitat for Humanity Romania works for a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Since 1996 and until now, the organization has helped over 100, 000 Romanians to have a welcoming home and has built or rehabilitated over 2, 700 homes.
The position of Communication Director will be that person coordinating the public campaign / communications with the Habitat partners so that more families in need will have access to decent living conditions.

Tasks / Responsibilities
The sustainable development of external communication and media partnerships
Raising the brand awareness of Habitat for Humanity in Romania
Solutions and creative communications campaigns to attract partners and volunteers as well as increasing public awareness about living conditions in Romania
Integration and alignment between the departments of the organization (dep. Programs, dep. Financial, dep. Advocacy)
Building and development of media partnerships in Romania, (print, radio, TV), central & local
Social media communication
Prospecting and maintaining partnerships with ambassadors and influencers to support the Habitat for Humanity Romania mission (VIPs, Bloggers, Influencers, etc.)
Development, coordination of significant communication campaigns ( major appeals ) in order to attract partners, volunteers, and donors (e.
g. BIG BUILD campaign, 20% fundraising campaign, individual giving campaigns; Runners for Humanity, Africa volunteering program, etc.)
Coordination of corporate Habitat for Humanity Romania partners communication : monthly newsletter, press releases, implementation of communication agreements with the sponsors for specific projects, coordination of construction sites branding.
Competences and key skills
Previous experience in a similar position, managing communications campaigns, and activities with measurable results (e.
g : Manager PR, Communications Manager, Brand Manager);
Leadership skills, strong communications, and problem-solving skills;
Proficiency in building creative concepts and demonstrated ability to see projects to completion;
Good writing, editing, and presentation skills with the ability to speak publically;
Agility in adapting to a continually changing environment;
Excellent skills of project and mission presentation in front of media partners and Habitat supporters;
Excellent prioritization skills and management through complex objectives;
Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural competencies; ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders;
Relevant academic education (Public relations. Marketing, Public affairs but not exclusively)
Good knowledge of the institutional environment (NGO type).
Experience with content marketing on social media a plus.
