Position Description :

As a Smart Collaboration Business Development Manager for Lenovo, you will beresponsible for driving Workplace Transformation opportunities through new andexisting Resellers.

Within each account, you will have responsibility forselling solutions from our entire Workplace Transformation portfolio.

Fromthese sales, you will drive revenue and profit to position our company forcontinued growth and success. You will champion the innovative power of ourproducts to make our customers more productive, collaborative andtransformative.

You will understand Lenovo’s portfolio of award-winning WorkplaceTransformation solutions and develop strategies to help new and existingpartners find and implement the best solutions.

This is a partner-clientfacing, high-growth sales role requiring deep industry experience, the abilityto identify, cultivate, and close net new business, and expertise workinglarge deals at the C level.

We are looking for a hunter skill-set with asuccessful and proven track record to take their career, the territory, andour clients to the next level.

The candidate must be able to position Lenovo product and channel valueproposition. A strong working knowledge of the AV Resellers, Distribution, UCtechnologies & various channel strategies is preferred.

The successfulcandidate will have 7-10 years proven track record in strategic selling,acquisition, and account management, strong interpersonal and communicationsskills, demonstrated team building, leadership and the ability to managemultiple complex sales engagements concurrently.

Candidate must have anentrepreneurial approach that is imaginative, smart, passionate, andapproachable. Channel sales experience is a plus.

This position will requiretravel, estimated at 50%.

Your responsibilities :

  • Build partnerships with existing and new Smart Collaboration Expertpartners by coordinating the efforts of sales, opportunity management,marketing and pre and post sales technical support to maximize Revenue andMargin for Lenovo Workplace Transformation products.
  • Act subject matter expert of the sales process for Relationship accountmanagers (Enterprise / Global Account customers).
  • Build & execute operational plans for Workplace Transformation products andoptions.
  • Own ongoing analysis of metrics & business performance to produce weeklyreport for Workplace Transformation business performance & relevant actionsand recommendations.
  • Assess & mitigate risks / issues through effective contingency plans.
  • Experience in cold-calling important in order to identify and pursue newacquisition opportunities - plan and execute acquisition activities in theWorkplace Transformation area in agreement with sales / account teams.
  • Educate partners and customers on Lenovo’s technology and develops aworking knowledge of Lenovo’s Smart Collaboration offerings.
  • Lead within the company to keep deals moving through the funnel, togetherwith segments account manager and the local Smart Collaboration Channel SalesSpecialist managing the business partners.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key business partners and influencersin the territory.
  • Ensure that our customers receive world class sales and customer service.
  • Maintain market and competitive knowledge to act as a trusted consultantwith Customers.
  • Produce accurate account plans, sales forecasts and ensure sales activityis tracked using the required reporting tools.
  • Position Requirements :

  • Minimum 7 years business development, or sales / marketing experience inthe IT industry (software and hardware) or AV industry.
  • Proficient in being able to sell the value of Workplace Transformation &associated solutions; Understand Workplace Transformation & associatedsolutions technology and its practical application / contribution to customers’requirements, as well as the market’s collaboration tools ecosystem.
