To be bold is to apologize instead of asking for permission.ABOUT THE TEAM AND THE OPPORTUNITYThe solution engineer is an experienced professional that supports VTEX Sales team and has a strong relationship with our development and professional services team, to keep up to date all platform's potential and help the sales team to highlight the main business benefits for prospecting customers.

We also expect multifunctional skills such as sales planning and understanding the needs of our partners, which encompasses not only relationship skills, but also technical skills.


  • Work closely with our product team on the product vision and roadmap.
  • Support the VTEX sales team, partners and prospects in consultation
  • Elaborate customised business models for each prospect that emphasise business benefits
  • Responsible documents such as RFP, systems architecture, in collaboration with the sales team and, or other professionals VTEX
  • Carry out customised cost and benefit analyses, with ROI demonstration
  • Demonstrate the VTEX platform for prospects and partners involved in the sale.
  • Provide technical documentation for prospects and partners
  • Elaborate and give in-person or remote training to clients in order to transfer knowledge about VTEX and ecommerce
  • Create and update technical certification
  • Align tasks with sales team, coordinators and sales managers, priori activities and deadlines

  • Experience in developing working relationships at all levels of management, internally and externally;
  • Knowledge of products, innovation, technology, marketing and online commerce;
  • Experience in project management, including multitasking to lead and execute several projects in parallel;
  • Technical knowledge about platform and integration models via API;
  • Training in computer science, administration, mathematics, physics, or related courses
  • Experience in pre-selling or selling ecommerce solutions;
  • Affinity with eCommerce solutions and WebPage applications ;
  • Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, React, GraphQL, Tachyons etc..
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to large audiences;
  • Have good interpersonal communication;
  • Ability to do multitasking and work with colleagues and managers, internally / externally;
  • Ability to translate complexity into action plans and communications;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively;
  • Strong ability to organise tasks and time;
  • Entrepreneurship and responsibility;
  • Fluency in English;
