We are currently looking for a Therapy Development Specialist to promoteour advanced and innovative Diabetes products to hospitals and healthcareprofessionals in the Romanian and Moldavian markets.

A Day in the Life

The main purpose ofthis role is to execute local field development strategies and tactical plansto achieve Medtronic growth targets within a Specific Business Unit (SBU) and tocoordinate Patient Access Acceleration (PAA) processes and to support countryrelated Academia and Clinical teams’ activities where needed.

The key areas ofresponsibilities are :

  • Create a demand for the product
  • Referral and Specialist linkageand new patient generation
  • Execute Patient AccessAcceleration plans including development of therapy access
  • Coordinate and support customerand patient education on the ground
  • Ensures helpline support forpatients & HCPs
  • Ensures technical support forproduct initiation of patients
  • For this role youneed to be located in Bucharest, Romania.

    Key responsibilities of the role :

  • Facilitates country specific implementation ofkey field development strategies & tactics.
  • Develops and executes local awareness programsto improve specific target education.
  • Builds and maintains relationship with localMedtronic service providers and distributors.
  • Analyzes local SBU market’s opportunities andrisks on a continuous basis. Presents analysis to Country Manager and RegionalMarket Development Manager.
  • Supports market penetration improvement.

  • Identifies, evaluates and recommends localmarket growth opportunities for a SBU, consistent with product line objectives.
  • Evaluates program impact. Implementscontinuous improvement.
  • Communicates proactively to all levels ofmanagement and stakeholders.
  • Assures alignment with other local functionalareas such as research, clinical, development, education, reimbursement andsales.
  • Assures alignment with Regional MarketDevelopment strategy.
  • Ensures alignment of education and clinicalactivities with the country strategy.
  • Supports Academia SBU Trainer in identifyingthe proctors and KOLs to accelerate market growth.
  • Supports Clinical Management with linkages tolocal KOLs and Therapy Centers.
  • Must Haves and Nice to Haves : Must haves :

  • University Degree (Master or MBA will be an advantage).
  • 2-3 years of sales experience in pharma or medicaldevices business.
  • Experience with developing market access for medicaltherapies alone or in collaboration.
  • Proven track record of sales strategic planningexperience.
  • Market or Field development experience.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
  • Native / fluent in Romanian.
  • Results driven.
  • Business and strategic acumen.
  • Analytical skills to understand local markets andcustomers’ needs.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent customer service skills, stronginterpersonal and communication skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organizationstructure.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationshipwith peers, colleagues and customers across diverse cultures.
  • Willingness to travel intensively.
  • Nice to haves :

  • Establishedrelationships with key opinion leaders in Diabetes field.
  • MedicalDevice industry experience.
