Garrett is looking for talented Finance Interns to work along our skillful teams on supporting and improving our processes.
This is a 6 months paid internship (fill time) targeting last year’s university students or recent graduates.
As an Intern, you will join our Accounts Payable team and be responsible to :
Open mail and distinguish between the different types of documents received in the mail (i.e. invoice, acknowledgements, sales orders, statements, etc.
and route per guidelines.
Manage dispute resolution process with vendors;
Execute payments according to the company policies and to the payment calendar : payments to supplier, netting operations for intercompany transactions and other bank transactions (government taxes and commissions);
Communicate with vendors, internal customers or AP team members as required to ensure accurate and timely resolution of all queries received;
Issue resolution for wrong payments instructions due to bank accounts modifications : refunds and new payments instructions.
Prepare vendor invoices for imaging including preparing batch sheets;
Scan invoices into document imaging system;
Perform quality check on invoice image and re-scan if needed;
Enter key data fields (e.g. invoice number, invoice date, invoice amount, purchase order number, etc.) from an image of the vendor invoices into system;
Process invoices customs clearance in SAP (as per defined procedures);
Assign proper error codes for the invoices that can't be booked;
Provide assistance to other Accounts Payable team members as needed

University Student / Fresh University graduate in Economic Studies;
Good English capability both in written and spoken; other language is a plus
Experience with Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
Ability to communicate concisely at all levels inside and outside the company;
Extracurricular projects involvement;
Organized, analytic and attention to details;
Result-oriented, proactive, quick learner;
Very good communication skills and able to prioritize;
Passionate about Corporate Finance, International Economics.
