As part of a global KYC Enhancement Programme, ING Wholesale Banking is looking for experienced Signatory to be responsible for reviewing and sign off on KYC files for Greater China.
KYC team is responsible for Know Your Customer (KYC) execution in accordance with ING compliance policies and procedures and local regulatory requirements.
The role plays an important part in the KYC execution process. It is responsible for signing-off on assigned requests for CDD, FATCA, or ESR including verification of all relevant documentation, completion of risk assessment, ensuring that all relevant approvals are secured and provide independent judgement.
A KYC signatory is also accountable for ensuring KPIs (quality, quantity, timeliness of production, operational and team alignment, and improvement initiatives) are met according to the agreed upon parameters.
This is for both existing and new clients. A KYC signatory will be required to engage various internal parties (outreach analyst, compliance, front office) to ensure the completeness of KYC files, the accuracy of risk assessment and file completion in a timely manner.
Duties and responsibilities
Liaise with internal stakeholders on a daily basis (Outreach analyst, front office, compliance, CoE)
Check the output and risk assessment of KYC outreach analyst
Ensure the sign-off and assessment of the files is done in line with relevant policy and procedure documents, as well as relevant Working Instructions, including CDD, FATCA, CRS, ESR (Environmental and Social Responsibility).
Ensure excellent execution at all times, in line with departmental and bank KRIs and take responsibility for action if the file is becoming overdue.
Provides feedback on analysts work
Advises management on CDD related issues, risk assessment, policy / procedure. Pro-actively engages in improvement process.
Monitoring and supervision of KYC control environment
What are the skill and qualification requirements of the role?
Previous CDD / KYC / AML experience (or Compliance background at minimum)
Highly analytical person with ability to recognise important information and identify risks
Capability to analyze risks and exhibit independent judgment
FATCA / CRS knowledge is desired
Ability to multitask and manage a high number of priorities
Good knowledge of MS office package (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Stakeholder interest and focus
Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), both verbal and written
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to deliver to a high standard under pressure and short deadlines
Fast learner, self-starter
Excellent communication skills
