We’re seeking an accomplished and highly motivated full stack Engineer who will work as part of a cross functional agile team.
Our team is focused on building the next generation of Autodesk Insight cloud service that empowers architects and engineers to design more energy-efficient buildings with advanced simulation engines and building performance analysis data integrated in Autodesk Revit.
Your role will be to drive the frontend and backend of the next generation service by working closely with the product owner, experience designer, and other engineers.
You will develop and maintain this new secure, scalable, available and performant service. You will be actively engaged in code reviews.
You will also have the opportunity to improve the Autodesk shared UI components library.
Develop high quality, secure and stable code that is covered by unit tests
Participate in software design and architecture by leveraging cloud design patterns and injecting your cloud expertise into the entire development lifecycle
Contribute to improvements in processes and deliverables that increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the team in responding to customer and business needs
Conduct research and make recommendations on tools, services, and standards to use for engineering efforts
Document and present your ideas and solutions accurately and thoroughly
Coordinate change deployment and release testing effort
Work closely with customers to support production services in an on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for service incidents
Enthusiasm to share knowledge, learn from others and actively engage in various agile team meeting
Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
Experience with at least one front-end web library / framework (React, Angular or Vue)
Experience with .Net backend development framework
Experience with TypeScript, NodeJS and Python
Experience with AWS including EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, Batch
Knowledge of microservices and working with Docker containers
Cloud security / secure development life cycle
Relevant experience building large scale web applications
Experience of working with Unit and End to End testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress)
Experience with Test Driven Development and Unit Testing
Experience of security best practices for a modern cloud service
Experience of CI / CD concepts and working with a deployment pipeline
Knowledge of Amazon Web Services or other cloud infrastructure technologies
Understanding of typical web application architecture (data, application, web tiers etc.)
Knowledge of basic network infrastructure and components (load balancing, NAT, scaling, etc.)
Self-motivated, autonomous, empathetic, and great communication skills
Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment
